I hope so, I went last year and had a good time. It should be a little easier to make a Midwest race too.

Couple ideas for you guys going to Omaha (I go there for business sometimes).

The hotels near the airport have some lower rates. You can use the mapping programs to see what's out there.

For the older crowd: The Harrah's Casino has good rates at times - it's just over the river from Omaha in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

older - heh, like over 21 or so. (I wasn't talkin' about blue-hairs) You know, I checked Harrah's rates and in late June, they're pretty high - but it's a nice stop if you have a few hours to spare.

Oh whew... maybe I'll stop by there.... I love the slots.

I am pretty sure my hubby is racing this one so I won't be an official.... I really hate that conflict. LOL

well, darn it , i had the week off for this race and was looking forward to going. i understand the conflict and not complaining. with the economy anyway i might have to change jobs soon anyhow. i wonder if they have truck parking. well i know that there is a big truck stop there. so we will see. thanks for the heads up. plus i checked and if i stay at my current job i cant switch my vacation to that week .

You'd be able to park a truck at the plex.

We're located in a couldesac so many truckers that come through park on the east side where there aren't any businesses located.
