Uh, green box? Solution? Anyone? Hello?

No worries on the green box. A small oversight on our part in the Hotwire leaving some of the new stuff in it for the current driver beta test software. We are looking for a value that is not there in 198 and older. It is letting you know you do not have the newest software... but the newest software is not there to update to. It is not hurting anything but is confusing. We will likely replace the current version on the web without changing rev. Come download it again next week and the green box will be gone.

Silly as it sounds that means something is odd. If you are using the newest hotwire that is posted on the website with any version of RS software you should see a green box warning you that your current software version may not be compatible with this hotwire, but it is
Chris did not make the Hank and we honestly just realized the green box error. Ty and I made the Hank and I am proud to say ran pretty good in 1/10 and really good in 1/8 BL. Ty took it all winning 2 of the amains and I snuck the other. Another Tekin driver was TQ and overall Tekin was 1,2,3,4 in the class.

Thanks for the advice, but the RS is already on it's way, it's the 7.5 i'm not sure about. I know the RS says it can go to 5.5, so I figured going up to a 7.5 in the B44 would still be within it's limits.
We race on a 1/8 track that is the polar-opposite to Blue Groove, so the motor won't load up as much as on those high traction surfaces.
I can still get an 8.5 if necessary, but would prefer 7.5, just don't have any experience with them yet, and noone else at my club races a 4wd with a brushless motor anywhere near it (for a couple of weeks anyway). There are 2 others I race against getting lower turn brushless, and I don't want ot be left at the back through lack of power

How low in a B44 with an RS (non-pro)
Tumbleweed bump for my question

You can try a 6.5 but you will need to have it geared properly and try to provide it with good airflow. A second cap should also help your cause.
To be honest though the 7.5 is also a very fast driveable motor in 4wd.

That's awesome thanks Randy. I am looking at 7.5's really as I think that's where my skill level is at.
I see a lot of people are using and recommending the 448 for 4wd off-road. How would that compare to a 7.5? Is the sensored an advantage in off-road against the 448?
Believe it or not, brushless is only just catching on in NZ. There are only a few shops in the whole country that even sell brushless gear, and none that I know of on my Island! We do have power and running water though, honest

Too funny...running water!
The sensors are a benefit for racing. While the 448 is my favorite sensorless motor by far in 4wd it's way faster than the 7.5 for sure.
Try the 7.5, it has plenty of power without being way over the top...
