I am also looking if anyone has in stock a eight-e body. Anyone know a place?
No luck on the 8ight-e bodies. I have a spare but can not find them anywhere. The only place I found the 44T were on Kyosho America website. They ship fast too!

Default Bodies

Since Losi seems to have dropped the ball on producing enough 8ight E bodies, has anyone tried an alternative? How about the JConcepts? or Proline? Any luck with aftermarket bodies? Any minor mods needed to make them fit? Any help would be appreciated.

You can try the original 8ight body, they weren't precut so you won't have the gaping holes in it.

Im sure it's in here somewhere. My buddy just installed a losi conversion on his 8. He is using the mamba monster 2200kv combo. The threads in the motor mount are smaller than the losi. Are people drilling the holes out and tapping new threads or just using a smaller screw?

that actually says losi 8ight - 2 bodies.

Does it actually come with 2 bodies?

That would be a good deal.

Somehow it doesnt look like there would be enough space in the battery area though.

I just cut a stock 8 body all the way long and it fits fine for me...just cut it as long as you can on the sides and maybe use a couple pieces of velcro and you're good.

My stock Losi 8ight buggy body hits the front of the battery. As a result it sits off to one side when the clips are holding it on. The rest seems to clear OK. I was wondering if the different designs from other manufactures are smaller, bigger, closer to the body, or notched on the sides, etc.

I just used smaller screws with a little locktite. No problems.

I eventually went to the RC designs motor mount. The Losi mount seems to be better suited for the Losi stuff.

Guys between the Losi conversion and the RCPD which one?

Also I seen the losi parts sold seperetly somewere but cant remember. Any ideas?

Is it better for balance to have the ESC above the diff instead of behind the battery tray? Like maybe the RCPD kit but with the Losi receiver box?

And will the Neu finned models fit with either motor mount? I heard about someone grinding their motor for some reason.
Guys your help ASAP would be greatly appreciated as I would like to order by sunday night so I can have it at the local track this week.

I been reading anywere from 168-170 for the Losi tray. My battery is going to be either 168 or 157. Thankx

So how big is it really? I been trying to measure it but my calipers only go up to 150

No grinding on the motor. If you use a finned Neu motor and using the Losi conversion kit, you will need to grind the rear motor support.
