Yup, teething issues. They'll get it sorted, or spend a ton of $$ replacing all the broken ones. That's incentive enough to get it right.

Anyone know if the center CVDs on the 8ight 2.0 fit on the old 8ight? I want to replace the front CVD because the pin is wearing out pretty bad on the dog bone end. I heard the 2.0 CVD uses a harder pin compound, but I am not sure. Thanks!

How about the rear? Will it fit the 1.0?

to use the rear you need to buy the 2.0 chassis too.

I dont think you really need the 2.0 rear center CVD. Mine doesn't seem to have any wear. The front one is pretty close to half way gone on the dog bone. That darn angle it has just seems to wear it like crazy.

I run the rear 2.0 CVD on mine now.
It fits deeper into the outdrive and cures the popping out problem from chassis flex.

Straight fit? Mine came out before so was thinking of using 2.0 but didn't know if it would fit. Good to know it fits.

Losi is releasing a V2 motor and esc. Heard it today. Anyone that sends stuff back will get an updated model.

Drake and company were using the updated stuff at toys for tots race and had no probs and obviously it needs to be done. soooo maybe if you have a v1 send it back and get a new one.

it will be still a week or so until the new stuff ships out.

Folks there is NO version 2 motor or even ESC.

What we tested by racing is the firmware we fully expect to make available by next friday on the Xcelorin support site for everyone to download. The new Setup program happens to be version 2 though.

You will be able to update the firmware yourself after downloading.

Significant change is primarily braking, they are now more adjustable and linear. The Initial start has been tweaked then smaller items addressed.

We will be continually upgrading as we go forward.

Adam Drake, Todd Hodge, and Kevin Gahan all ran extremely well at the Thunder Alley T4T race last weekend. Kevin TQ'd both rounds of Qualifying with his 5 minute time being within 9 seconds of Mike Truhe's TQ in his Nitro 8. Adam won the race by a very comfortable margin too.
