Guess I should've said IF you wanna charge at 5 amps, you'd need a higher wattage charger, not "you need a new charger."

OK guys time for a question....

Can someone explain the difference's between the 1.0B and the 2.0B?
Im an AE guy wanting to pick up a reasonable Losi to try out. Is it worth buying the 2.0 or just upgrade a 1.0? Or does it really make a difference?

Thanks.

I'm running my Losi with an RX8 1900kv. After a 20 minute run I was at 150 degrees. That was on a small track with 15/46 gearing. 170-180 is redline on my ESC. I have an Ice Charger as well. It will handle up to 4S Lipo's and up to 10 amps. However, stick with the recommended charge rate for that battery, which is probably 1C.

Thanks.
The 2.0 chassis is a little bit longer. The 2.0 A-arms use different sized hinge pins, different servo saver setup, etc.. Many of the parts are the same though. From what I hear there are enough parts differences to make it too expensive (not practical) to upgrade entirely. I got the 1.0 because I got a great deal on a used roller. I would recommend trying to get the newer 2.0 version, but there are great deals to be had getting a 1.0.

Thanks for the reply Blade.
Is there a weight difference between the two? How does handling compare?

That, I do not know. It is worth looking into though. I'll check it out.

My guess is that the 2.0 probably handles different/better because of the different chassis size. My 1.0 handles pretty well though and I'm happy with it.

I'm going to upgrade certain parts to 2.0 a little at a time.

the 2.0 buggy may appear similar but when compared side by side there's a significant difference in handling and performance.....my vote is to go 2.0.

the buggy is doable to upgrade over time...its the Truggy that imo is a wash and should be bought as a kit as the list of required parts is pretty steep.

I meant that my motor was 150. I don't know about the Xcelorin. Check with Losi's website for exact info.

I would start with the 16t and go from there. Your motor temps will be your guide. You might need a 17t or higher based on how big the track is.

Nice pics.

I figured there would be difference in handling. I'm going with the 2.0 upgrade over time, deal.
