Losi 1/8 8ight E 4wd Thread

1. A bit more toe out on the front wheels
2. Slightly longer rear shock (ie: more rear droop)
3. A softer swaybar on the front
4. A stiffer swaybar on the rear
Personally I like to change swaybars to get more or less steering depending on current traction.
If none of those things work then start messing with diff oil weights.

Hey I run a 2.0 and noticed last race night that it was pushing real bad when I turned to the right but rotated real nice when i turned left.
I have 40/silver/2.3 sway up front
25/green/silver sway of unknown thickness in the back( i took it from my 1.0 because thats what i had used.)
Center smart diff with .15s and front smart diff with 4 .20s
The driveshafts in the front or center arent worn, this is 3 race day old 2.0.
I think it might have been uneven tire wear but I have no idea at this point.
Any help?

Are people needing the Losi heatsink in the E2 with the kit electrics to avoid thermalling or is it ok without? And how easily will it fit under the shell of the 2.0

I assume all your base settings are to spec: ride height, shock lengths, camber, toe, etc. There's a few things I'd try before I started changing diff oils.
1. A bit more toe out on the front wheels
2. Slightly longer rear shock (ie: more rear droop)
3. A softer swaybar on the front
4. A stiffer swaybar on the rear

I agree with this statement........but old habits die hard! I will try the brake curve.

I just rap one layer of electrical tape around it......no problems. Been running soft packs in my 1/10th for a while, and now running them in my 8ight.

Hmm, I see some prefer the Zippy-R Lipo based upon some previous discussions in this thread, but it appears that version is no longer available. What's the current one folks are using...is it this one?

Does anyone know offhand if the standard balancer on the Hyperion chargers fits these?

It "Should" fit just fine. I have two heat sinks on mine. I would say it depends on where and how you race. If you're on a small indoor track in the North where it's 50F, prolly not. But if you're on a huge outdoor track in the 110F Desert... you might consider it an option.

My 8t 2.0 is stupid fast and I want to slow it down AND run cooler. Can you guys help me out with my setup? I have the losi converison kit with 15/45 running the xceleron esc/1700kv on a 4s 5000mah. The bottom end is ridiculously fast so I could stand to lose a bit and I am actually happy with the top end speed however my temps are on the higher side. So basically will it cool the truck down to go to say 13/45? Or would it be better to go to like a smaller spur gear and give up a bit of bottom end with a 44t spur and use a 13 or 14t pinion? ANYONES input or pm's would be greatly appreciated. Also if you could recommend a "brand" of spur/pinion as I stripped 3 plastic ones at todays race and want to go to metal gears now.
