hey there TPhalen, i updated the link with the blank one
download the setup sheet pdf
BTW, thanks TPhalen for your RC18 info and setup sheet, they helped me immensely when i was club racing a spec class with the RC18T.
also, did moving the inner rear camber link to the upper position give more traction? what was the result of that change on the slash?

convince them of the potential a slash class has as a major stress reliever on race day, as in....run your 8th buggy, then retract your fangs and have some fun with the slash to avoid staying so bloody worked up all day over a club level toy car race.
Could not agree more.
What a stress reliever

I run Mod 4wd all the time. Love the class, and its very competitive.
But I agree. I break out the Slash and a big-ol smile appears on my face...we bang into each other and theres no worries of breaking. Just a fun 'extra' class to keep ya focused on what RC is supposed to be.

also has anyone tried the rpm two stage pistons? part number 80430? Im trying to run down a few 1/10 scale stadium trucks on a high bite clay like track.

Has anyone tried a 27t motor in the slash. At the local track we have a spec class but people are going throught the titans pretty quickly so a rebuildable motor that is a close equivalent is what we are lookin for and I think a 19t would be alot faster than the titan.
Thanx for the set up tips on here, going to be trying some this week !

Thanks for the setup Tony... I have a Slash that I got last week. I haven't run it yet but I'll be out to OCRC soon enough... hopefully we'll get to hang again since you don't run RC bikes anymore...
I'm having an issue right now getting my Spektrum Micro to bind to my React.. (won't bind.. and I have my react in DSS mode)

Our local track just hosted the ROAR region 5 offroad championship and we had a exhibition slash class. After coming in 2nd in the 3 qualifiers I won the main with a mostly out of the box stock truck. The only changes I made were moving the locations of the bottoms of the shocks. Next I want to change the oil in the shocks, does anyone know for sure what the stock oil is?

Thanks for being so forthcoming with your setup. I'm looking forward to running Slash again. I noticed a typo? in the setup sheet, and I was wondering if you are using #2 or #4 shock position on the rear arms? Thanks.

Thats what I figured would happen with a 19t. I think a good 27t would be close speed wise anyways, just don't know about the torque. Trying to keep things close to original speed and one guy has a 17.5 brushless in his and the Titans are a smidge faster down the straight but nothing drastic. If we have a class tomorrow I will try a 27t in one of the heats to see what happens.

A 13.5 would probably be closer...maybe even a 10.5. These things weigh over 5 pounds...mine is 5# 3 ounces w/o a battery.

Can I ask how you gear a 13.5 brushless in the Slash? Looking at this as a more sustainable set up than always burning the Titan motors. No spec class rules, but want it to stay waterproof hence the LRP AI Brushless esc.
Have asked this on several forums, noone seems to know!
Only set up I saw was 25/86 but they said it ran at 150? I run a 17.5 in my TA05 at racing and even after a 15 minute run the motor comes off at 110 max!

i'm running the vxl in mine with 6 cell and 7cell packs. This weekend geared 18/86 it was coming off around 135 on an indoor clay type track with the slipper locked down tight. Tonight I put a 23/83 on 7cells for some high speed runs and it was running at 120-130. With way to much topend to race with lol
