ive heard of a lot of guys tearing their switch tires right off the bead with a 3s lipo.
im running a 2s with a tight slipper and the same tire setup on concrete and i can hear and see my tires spin if i punch the throttle off a dead stop.

You are running 3s lipo and 7700kv motor? Isn't your Slash too much over powered?
What's your gearing?

Pic/Video?

My son runs novice (read, not spec/slash) and it really made his truck easier for him to drive, as we all know the compounds/tires are "better" than the stock/spec type.

I also put XXXT shocks all around for him

For what its worth.

Did you find out from me? I did that last summer and posted about it in the Slash forum quite a long time ago. I've had this:

http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-item...ess-slash.html

listed for sale for two weeks, pointing out that it uses Rustler rear rims and showing they fit with a top view shot.

They do work great.

I also noticed the T-Maxx shocks appear to be the same on the back of the Slash. So if you have a T-Maxx, you have a few spare shocks if you need them.

The rear shocks already have a small blue bumper in that spot, but I basically wanted it longer and used the fuel tubing idea. I don't know how well it works yet; jury's still out on this one.

I never had a problem with the tires pulling off the bead but im sure it is possible. Since i use my slash mostly for bashing i like to have plenty of power. You might say its overpowered but is a kick lol. Since my first rc was a nitro 4 tec 3.3 i like my rc cars to be around that same speed.

What mod is required to run Diff oil in the Slash? I have a bottle of 250,000wt. coming in Wednesday.

Are you guys really seeing a great improvement with heavy weight shock oil? I'm running 20/35 and love the setup. There is only one jump at the local track I will bottom out on and that is still rare. I'm actually thinking of running 20/30 in the near future.

I just put 120,000 wt ofna in my diff on thursday. Ran it on saturday 4-packs
and broke it down last night. NO leaks I was very suprised to see this I had expected something to come out.
When i did it I took it out , cleaned all the diff parts with motor spray , put it back together ,filled it about half full and put the cover on.
I put the 4 screws in being careful not to overtighten them and then I put a drop(small) of tireglue on the edge and turned the diff untill the glue went all the way around to make a seal. Worked great and easy to break loose if needed. I do not think I will have to mess with this again.
I am very pleased with the difference . Good luck

@ the oil, 45 wt on all 4.
I will be going up to 55 rear or staying and going to 1 hole pistons
as our track has alot of big jumps

Default Mostly stock for now

RPM Parts:
A-Arms
Front shock Tower
Rear Hub carrier
Front caster
Gear cover
Motor mount

50/60 wt oil in the shock

Everything else is relatively stock for now. I plan to run aluminum belcranks in the future. Also a brushless system will be added, along with Integy piggy back shocks, RPM rear shock tower, try to convert the hubs to 17mm and run buggy tires, Proline Desert rat body, MIP CVD, Ball Diff.

Does anyone know the width of the battery area (from left to right) on the Slash chassis in millimeters? Trying to see if a certain lipo will fit...
