I like mine so far. I don't have a whole lot of time with it but the first night I drove it, I immediately thought it was tremendously more stable than my B4. There were a few mods I needed to do to get the maximum steering potential out of it. I thought it had plenty initially when I drove it; I was cutting corners and passing people on the inside. But now, it is even more nimble. Besides the stability, the main thing I noticed was how consistent it was. I can keep my lines a lot easier.

I was a big fan of the B4. I have owned probably about 10 of them at different times since I trade cars a lot, and I always went back to the B4 as it would do what I wanted it to do for the money.

The car that is my default car now is my GV2. RC Dad was right on with his description, and I also like the fact that it feels more durable than my B4 did. It replaced the B4 for me, and I haven't regretted it.

B4 is a good car, but for my needs, the GV2 suits me better.

each buggy out there has its own set of unique attributes and does different things better or worse than the next one. I think the GV2 is a good rough track car and it jumps very well, much like a Losi. The B4, in my opinion, is not as stable and has a lot of steering response. You can set up a GV2 to have a lot of steering, as I have, and in turn you lose stability. It really is a good buggy and is priced much lower than the other buggies out there. If you are a very serious racer, running in high level competition, you will most certainly replace a lot of stock parts such as ball studs and turnbuckles. Diggity Designs has some very good carbon Fiber upgrades for this buggy that really improve performance. I suppose it depends on how far you want to go with racing it. At the club level, a box stock GV2 will be very competitive.

For those who helped me out.

Got my replacement Rfi Lipos back. Sent in the bad ones, and Tim@mrc had brand new ones in my hand less than a week later. No charge. Good stuff!

Next up is some weight in the front of the Gv2, and see where that puts me!

Anyone else find that they have a huge box of spare parts for these things? Aside from a carrier, I can't seem to break anything! All these extra bulkheads and arms just looking at me.

Glad to hear Tim took care of you.
Haven't tried any weight yet. Rooster was experimenting with a few different options. I broke a front hub carrier a couple of weeks ago and also a shock cap but that was me. It's a bad thing when you keep landing upside down.
I tweaked the motor plates on both the buggy and truck. That wasn't me on that part.
May have done that with any vehicle with as hard as I got hit on both. Replaced the buggy motor plate with the carbon one from Diggity. Need to get that one for the truck or I may try the thick aluminum one from PSI.
I've hid a couple pipes with both and cringed at the sound, but the vehicles keep on rolling...

Hmmm, Great post, Though the B4 is selling at the same price as the GV2 at Amain. I've had a B4 in the past and didn't particularly like it.

I quite like the Academy kits and currently run two SBV2 Pro's. well, make that one now, as one of them failed in a massive way on the weekend and I'm thinking of junking it..

the Factory Team B4 is selling for 214.99 at A main, the GV2 is 169.99...you are looking at a different B4...the one that doesn't have all of the parts that anyone who races a B4 has.

If you have had a B4 and you didn't like it, but you like the SB V2....try the GV2 out.

My current preference is definitely for the GV2, especially after reading the last couple of pages in this thread

However, for $50 more I can get the B4.1 RTR with brushless system and 2.4Gz radio. These items are wickedly expensive here in NZ so I would be saving hundreds of dollars by buying a car I don't really want but which should do fine.

Going to sleep on it a little longer.

3/16 x 3/8 (b4 rims)
