That might have been why my T-Plate broke at sumter was that extra 4 ozs of weight in the truck to bring it up to what the truck was designed for since the 8000 mah li-po is around 5 ozs lighter than a 6 cell nickel pack.
Ever notice any of Tebo's or Maifield's set ups always have a 1 oz weight added somewhere even with nickel batteries.

Also, how many of you have converted over to GT2 stock arms over T4 arms and noticed an increase in durability?

I just got a 6000mah max amps pack, and i have a gtx and 5.5 brushless to put in my truck.
Wondering how much time I'm going to get out of the pack, doing some testing this weekend.
Might have to get a 8000 for racing and 6000 be my practice pack.

They are also using the gts wheel mounts, they keep the tires very true and straight.

Hey guys... what I'm wondering is how many gas trucks are running in these races and how they are doing. Are the gas trucks competitive????
I'm trying to get this class going at my track this year. We haven't actually had them running yet but I hope to have a few soon.
One of the reasons is to ressurect the gas truck class here... so the ones who wish we still ran them can dust them off and race. Adding the BL/Lipo trucks will help get the entries up and create a class.
But, I'm concerned that the gas trucks won't keep coming back after they get spanked a few times by the electrics. Your track is big so I would think a gas truck would do very well.... ??

Great option to have a club race by combing the 2 classes!

Have you tried playing around with the shrink wrap on the cells? The true rc cells are suposed to be the same width as the thunder power cells. Perhaps there is some cardboard under that shrink wrap that could be making those $75 packs not fit the slot.

This is what our team drivers will be doing...

The best bang for the buck that doesn't require any chasis cutting are the truerc.com 6400 mah 7.4 volt 15c packs @ $80 a pop.
