well, fuzzbites front and rear for 2wd 17.5 spec buggy were money this past weekend at RC Underground in Warren MN. Took TQ by a lap and 1st in the main with the new CAL3.1 . Very consistent and offered the right amount of traction.

I just need to find some tires that comply with there no-carpet tire rule for 4wd buggy. my worn down twin pins felt too loose this weekend :(

I believe they are being packaged or set for packaging, so hopefully any day now

Got to try out the glued up 4wd fronts here, I ran the glue up into that checkmark kind of looking tread, hit it with soem instaset and went from there. Car was instantly better, instead of wanting to roll over in turns all the time could push it right on through controllably. Looking forward to more time on the tires!

Do the smoothie 2 silvers last a lot longer than grinded down ellipse?

PW, any ETA on non-mounted Fuzzbite 2WD Buggy Front/Rears? Need to grab some more for our race at the end of the month.

Yes...They do seem to last longer than a grinded down bar tire.

We have shipped out quite a few big dealer and dist orders in the last 2 weeks, so you might be able to find them online. You could always call here and check if we have any in stock as the website isn't always current ;).

To the JConcepts team or other knowledgeable individuals: Does JConcepts carry a 1:8 truggy tire that would be suitable for dry astroturf?
In another thread, a user suggested the Proline Suppressor in X1 compound for dry astro. Searched for this tire but seems unavailable.
Any thoughts?

I don't think any of the US brands make astro truggy tires. I would suggest Schumacher - Click Here

Unfortunately that Schumacher Spiral is not ideal for dry astroturf. On my local track, 1:8 buggies always run the Schumacher Mini Pins. The Schumacher Spirals are only used on buggies in wet conditions. Hence, in wet the truggies stack up well against buggies. In dry, not so much. I ascribe that mainly due to an apparent tire disadvantage.

Was hoping there to be an alternative that could work well (better than Schumacher Spirals) on dry astroturf. Not much luck so far.
Found some JConcepts that at least visually (from pictures) looked not all that different from the Mini Pins. Anyone ever tried those on dry astroturf?

I'm not sure which tire you are referring too, but we unfortunately do not have any experience with 1/8th turf racing. It's going to be a trial and error type testing .

One that was suggested in another thread was the Proline Suppressor.
Visually, they do not look all that different (to my relatively untrained eye).

Mixed up brands, apologies.

This is the JConcepts thread and unfortunately I don't have any feedback regarding the other brands.

Toet 02-15-2022 01:27 PM

My mistake, seems I have mixed up Proline and JConcepts. Apologies.
What about JConcepts Triple Dees and/or JConcept Reflex?
