question on carpet racing when you are not allowed to use carpet style pin tires:
At the track i'll be running at in the winter previously I used clay compound tires in either a very minimum tread setup (say a barcode sized tread) or slicks basically sauced. They worked well, but one of the very fast drivers uses a wedge 2wd tire up front and I believe something like a red compound losi ifmar pin. As they are not a "hard" carpet tires, those are legal and he doesnt' sauce which is kind of nice. Carpet is grey ozite mixed with something else, not sure what though as can be seen here: For 2wd buggy, ,I am looking to use the one of the various 2wd front tires for carpet out there, but curious how does the jconcepts swagger compare to the schumacher wedge in yellow compound and do you run these without foams? Also, would flip outs be an option for the rear that could be similar to the losi IFMAR pin I described? Lastly, I wonder if a similar front and rear flip out setup on 4wd buggy would be an option too based on what i mentioned (right now using worn proline ions) has the cva kit (part #2437) for the b5m line been discontinued? thanks |

The flipout is very similar to the IFMAR pin, but it's only available in super soft, so it will be much softer than the red compound.

Thanks for the info. If I tried this would you run a molded insert?

Paul, I saw the video with the new products from the Nationals. Any word on when those new space bars are going to be available?
|
Any plans for a Strike RC8B3E body or does the Nitro one have enough clearance for the battery?
|
I just wanted to say, it was great to see Maifield running Shortcourse at Nats when many of the others did not. In my opinion, it's one of the most fun classes to run and looks the coolest on track. Just something so cool about how a shortcourse looks fully whipped over a jump going into a turn. Just wanted to say, please keep encouraging your top level drivers to run SC. Luckily 2wd SC's been making a comeback out here in SoCal, so hopefully it'll continue across the country! BTW, are you guys planning on making a racing SC Body (not true scale type) based on the 2017 Ford Raptor?

Hey PW,
Seeing your heavily in the market on selling tires. How about develop a small Tupperware type container with a built in brush for washing tires racer could use in their pit area? http://www.jconcepts.net/shop/wash-brush |
I purchased the bottom caps for a B6D as shown in link below. The hole is too small for the "hat" bushing to sit in. I measured the stock cap and it's 5.25mm. The JC one is 4.75mm. If I install the JC cap it causes binding on the shock shaft. Is this a manufacturing glitch or are they designed like this? They show compatibility with the B6 series but not sure if running change was made for new model.

So with the Stackers and hybrids on closeout for the elevated bead, does that mean we will be seeing some new 4.0 truggy tires??? Can I request something indoor biased, as no one makes anything right now. Switch 2.0 the tightest pin I can find. Some bar Flys or Dirtwebs would be killer
