Even though my results basically equalled nothing, I've got some very fond memories of the trip, the chassis incident and 4wd Mod B final being up there |
since GP / Tower has the decal kit for the BJ4, does that mean you guys are getting close to setting up a deal for them to sell parts and bodies for them too? :D

Im not in a position to say when Great Planes will carry our kit/parts, but it not likely in the very near future. |

Hey guys. I just received by orig. BJ4 and am building it now. So far a very fun build. One problem that I have is the slipper! I literally broke about 5 hex drivers trying the tighten the nut. Anyone have any advice on tightening it? Also within 5 min I noticed that I was missing a correct screw...Two small problems but overall I am very impressed. Can't wait to finish building it. Anyways thanks Jconcepts for an amazing buggy. Keep up the great work!

blackhawk444, i think if you broke hex's tightening it then it might be tight enough. Remember it should somewhat slip under ALOT of pressure so it doesnt break drivetrain parts. I think the manual says to tighten and back out 1/2 or 1/4 turn.

It actually was not tightened at all...lol. Seriously it was SUPER tight from the beginning.

Perhaps something is not right in your assembly? I recently assembled a worlds edition. There weren't any issues with the center diff that I had. I did forget to tighten it before running it for the first time, but it was easily corrected with the 5/64 allen driver.

Ive done the exact same thing, no worries. I trimmed some of the nylon away to help loosen the fit. I ended up using the broken tips and channel locks to tighten it. Guys he's talking about the original car with the hole in the slipper shaft for adjustment. ;) |
