PW and proTC3, thanks for racing with us on Saturday. I'm glad you liked the track. We ran a class of J82's as an exhibition class and they were excellent. It was the first I've seen them run and I bought a conversion kit that day. They ran great on our track, which is primarily set up for 1/8th scale; and they handled it very well. I'll have mine built soon.

Dave, the layout was AWESOME, its just a shame the weather didnt hold out longer. Maybe that will be enough for Bobby to give you guys a Supercup race?

What setup are you using? The same as the truck.

TheBackmarker 03-23-2008 08:59 PM

Thanks, Andy. If anyone lives in an area that needs rain, just let me know. We'll schedule a race there and your problems will be over.lol At least we got through all the qualifiers. Luther will figure the final point standings from there.

Yea, mine was a box stock truck, but there may be a tweek here or there to make it better for certain tracks.

1/10th buggy goosebumps

Andy,
I searched the thread and didn't see an announcement that the 1/10th buggy (rears and 4wd fronts) Goosebump tires are out. Since I already ordered my tires from the www.jconcepts.net site, I feel safe in letting everyone else know.

These are likely to be THE tire for our track at Ncontrol (Austin, TX) as we run on "packed" wet sandy loam dirt.

Tel, thanks for the heads up, I wasnt aware that we had officially started selling them yet. Here are some pics (for those of you who havent seen):

There is only 1 compound available for 1/10th vehicles at the moment, green. You could try them if you wanted and let us know. Indoor compounds seem to be very difficult to pinpoint though.

Those looks sweet, what tire do they compare to?

They dont really compare to another tire, which is the point. They will work in loamy conditions, but as they wear, they can also work in borderline pre-groove as well.

Now i need to get a J82 to run out there also. I had a blast running it and damn does that thing handle well.

I personally seen the J82 run at the Cactus. Someone was running theirs in open practice taking up room on the drivers stand so others could not practice. :)
