Just got done with my build. Did you follow Dustin's setup with his bumpsteer spacers on the steering rack? I got alot of bumpsteer with 2mm of washers under the rack

Yes LTC plastic is ASC92307 while HTC plastic is ASC92076 as I mentioned. They were specifically asking for HTC, hence my reply.

For you guys running on carpet, in general are you going with the new style 3 hole pistons? Seen those new Ray Munday charts for comparison of the 13mm pistons against the 12mm, very interesting.

I have an opportunity to buy a new, assembled B74.1D and was wondering if it was worth it given the value proposition or should I just get the .2 edition? Here is what I’m considering:

B74.1D
Body/wing
New/used Wheels/tires
He’s asking $325

Is this a good value or should I pass it over for the .2 version? I'm just looking to do some occasional club racing for fun, not trying to win any championships or anything. I race on a fairy large clay 1/8 style outdoor track. Also worried that the 74.1 is now ~2 years old at this point and parts may be harder to come by sooner than the .2?

I'd almost wonder if you would benefit from the larger shocks on a track like that at a minimum.

Question does anyone have a good setup for a medium sized hard-packed outdoor dirt track that has low to med traction run wet with bumps?

Just picked up a b74.2 after a 10 year hiatus from the hobby. I can't wait to get back onto the track.
Things have changed drastically.
Kraig and Lordzod like this.

Hi edman, good luck , I pre-ordered mine in September and did my build also at the end of the same months. The only problem I had in the build is sanding and reaming the arms , The car feels amazing ( I still own a B64D that I still love)
I run in the MOD class , What class and what kind of tracks do you have nearby .

B74.2D new Build

B74.2D with Body

Running indoor carpet on a med size track. What size pinion for a 13.5 motor? Or at least a range.

23-25 should cover what ever motor you are running.

Hey Guys! I have a 74.2 car, and I would like to run on a dirt track. Dose it really hurt the car ?

No issues, but adding some of the parts from the dirt car, specifically the springs/oils, sway bars, and center diff, will make it handle the dirt much better.

Having traction roll issues on carpet, specifically at the end of the corners, any remedies? Running 11mm ride heights, pretty much kit setup otherwise. Fuzz bite rears and either swagger or fuzz bite fronts, doesn't matter.
