I'm keen to get back into buggies and torn between Associated 6.4 and the Schumacher. I notice the Schumacher is a few years old, does anyone know If a new model is due soon? I would hate to buy and LD2 and then a new model come out shortly afterwards.

I’ve owned both the cars mentioned, along with a heavily modified TLR 5.0, and my son races an XB2. My advice is to grab a 6.4 and don’t look back. Lol

from what I heard no 2wd till next year since the new 4wd just came out and they dont do 2 new cars in a year. but you never know. I have the associated and the schumacher. if your racing dirt get the associated. way easier to dial in. if your racing carpet get the schumacher. best carper car I have ever driven

Running high grip clay, I noticed I was faster with my LD2 than my 22 5.0, which was faster than my associated. All depends on driving style. The Schumacher jumps the best out of the 3.

Any advice on essential option parts for the LD2, will be running on a medium sized medium grip carpet track.

I've noticed that Orlowski and Champlin are running 3-hole pistons on the 2wd but 2-hole on the 4wd, with fairly similar oils...anyone have any idea why from a technical/setup perspective?

The 4WD weighs more for starters, I would think this would give the 4WD a bit more stability as well (e.g less twitchy roll)

Hey guys quick question, how thick is the spacer stack for the front shock tower spacer set to get the shocks behind the tower? I was just going to make my own to test before I order a set since it won’t arrive before I get to the track.

The carbon stack is about 12.3mm.

Prior to using carbon stack, I used 14.8mm alum standoffs successfully.

Both versions are out of stock on the Schumacher site. Could they be releasing a new kit?
