*B74.1 Tuning Parts Guide*
Hi all, with the B74.1 now available and with many important detailed changes to key tuning parts, I have put together a quick reference guide to allow you to compare B74 and B74.1 settings. I have included the typical outdoor settings we use but the changes translate across all surfaces.

Any questions, please ask away

Those are the right dimensions for the caster hat bushings. Mine was a bit tight when new, I simply bent the plastic steering knuckle back a wee bit like in Rivkins video above and it was smooth. You shouldn't have to remove any material from the knuckle.

What spares/parts are interchangeable with the B6.2 from the B74.1?

shocks/shock internals, ball cups, turnbuckles, rear wheels, arms, etc?

Pills too, but also full shock bodies/shafts if you are using kit 74.1 shocks and not the long bodies on some pro setups.

Oh and rear hub inserts, and all the other hub parts. Most bearings, hexs and lots of other stuff like that.

The b74 and B74.1 rear arms, they have switched exclusively to the b74.1 design so be aware of that when buying arms, they were different designs but use the same part number.

Edit: big derp mode, thought you were discussing b74 to b74

All the stuff you and I listed except turnbuckles aren't as most/all of them are shorter on the 4w.

Rear arms are kind of interchangeable. Hinge pin to hinge pin is the same, but the shock has more droop where it mounts on 4w arms and the .1 arms have an extra inner hole. Sway bar mounts are slightly off but compatible.

Not a tons of parts are interchangeable but lots of little parts are. Whats your goal here?

What's the reason for this? Why not use the black ones that come with the kit?

i drag 5 vehicles and radios(so everyone can drive any car without rebinding) and 2 chargers, tools, fans, batts, snacks and lunch, soldering iron, and parts for each track day (4-5 drivers in family)-

the idea of stocking another bunch of parts and an additional small parts bin for another vehicle wearies me (I am the team mechanic and sponsor)

i was hoping there would be more crossover in parts between the AE 2&4wd buggies

my local track doesn’t stock AE or Losi parts so I either have a spare, or that car is done until parts arrive by mail

doesnt seem like much, but it adds up.

The machined V2 spacers, 91494, give significantly better seal location so the shocks are smoother and seals last longer. They are the only 'must have' upgrade on all AE builds IMHO.

Ah that makes sense. But other than going from one gen to the next for like a b6.1 to b6.2 there isnt much compatibility. Transmission and front piviot block is the same between the b6 and t6 series, the wheelers are all different from the 2w's, and same applies to TLR and yokomo as well.

Better off just getting everyone running the same exact buggy/truck, so yeah good luck with that lol. Really weird your local track doesn't have parts though.
