Some of the jumps have a flat landing which is where most of the bottoming out is occurring so is there a something I can do to help the landing soft and planted (like all the ae b74 cars seem to land so quiet and balanced everytime).

and my rear ride height won’t go lower than 24mm and that’s with the preload collars maxed out all the way up.

And apologies for my multiple questions but it is really tough to find much set up help on the internet for the d418.

I’ve read all the pages in this forum and really enjoy learning from all the members posts about all things hb 1/10 off road buggies!
Change universal joint axles front and rear and use 75spring/70wt in front and 45spring/40wt rear. Then it wont bottom out on landing and you get even more steering and grip.
Also build shock with max rebound.

I don’t currently have the universals but I will try the heavier shock oil/springs with more rebound and test it out tomorrow thanks heaps

His setup is showing some type of prototype shock tower, so I think your suspension package is not going to work if you copy the rest of it. Are you also running on a low traction track? That setup says medium grip, smooth dry

Ok I forgot about the prototype shock tower u are right the rest of the set up won’t work with the kit tower.
and yeah I’m running on low grip so I probs shouldn’t be copying his set up actually.

my d418 has steering that’s twitchy as hell and I’m lost as to how to make it easier to drive.

Front toe-in, more caster and kick-up will calm it down. Larger front sway bar will help too. Is it twitchy on or off power?

Something I think that helps is looking at some setup sheets from the same driver/car for different surfaces. For example, a Spencer Rivkin setup for the B74 on low traction and high traction and look at some trends. In general, I would guess they go with a less taut, responsive car and move towards a softer, less reactive, more plush car. Like lower diff oils, lighter springs, lower shock oils, more roll, more droop, etc. Look at some setup sheets and I think you'll get some ideas.

When using the 204564 diff case for carpet/astro do you need 4 of the 4 5 or 6 arm mounts or just a pair?

for reference a 6 front arm block would be paired with a 3 rear block to make the arm level. Currently what I am running in carpet.

With the new rear bulkhead, I hear it's 5 and 3 dot arm mounts. Still trying to see what people are running in the front.

Default Slipper Spur

Love the D418 someone ran into me at full speed while waiting to start the race last night & broke the spur gear for the slipper. Wondering if the spur for the slipper is sold separately
Found the slipper kit but really would not want to spend $50.00 for a spur gear.
Thanks in advance.

Kinda saying it backwards. If in the rear of u decide to change roll center to use the longer 4,5,6 blocks. Then in turn u “may” also wish to level the dog ones out at the ride height u r using. If u do then u need the new rear Transmission case to do that.

this new case just helps u realign the dog bones at ride height to level or slightly off level when u run the low ride heights.
make since?

You can adjust your steering expo on your radio towards the negative side which might get rid of some twitchy.
