You're in the US, so chances are you would be following sorrca rules. Gives a good rundown of whats allowed for scale class 1 2 and 3.

I'm from australia, so I follow cANZ rules, but they are very similar.

So as you guys have seen from pics I have the 90mm KING shocks on my sawback. I bought some lighter springs...wow very smooth. BUT I was playing around and looking at an AX10 I have and I moved the front upper shock mount back on the frame rail towards the center of the vehicle. So now the suspension is articulating(shocks at a 45 degree angle) with much more fluidness. I left the rear shocks upright as I want the rear end more firm on climbs. I will post some pics of the change. Hope my crazy thoughts made some sense.

So I did something to my sawback today...o moved the upper shock mounts towards the middle of the car positioning the shocks at a 45 degree angle....WOW the articulation is much much better....I'll post some pick but doing an event tomorrow and I'm excited to try new set up....

well laying shocks over at a 45 degree angle towards to middle of the car front and rear was a huge success. I like the articulation potential but I am going to stiffen up the rear springs a lil.....actually taking a lil of the weights in the front wheels OUT.....Overall much more fun to crawl with. I was competing well and beating many class one scx10's.....and out pulled them all in the tracker pull.....extra weight helped there...lol

Finally getting this done, I've had it sitting here since it came out. I originally built the kit with a bronco body as the original body looked blah, took it on a single run, and put it on the shelf. I ordered the sports body kit and bumper, and decided to build it up with the original body. Glad I did, really like how it came out, and it drives much better with some weight on it.
Modified the chassis layout quite a bit. Cut down the "motor" radio box, and modded it with some aluminum to hold the battery and electronics all up front.
I put a sound unit in for the first 2 runs, but eventually took it out for another rig. Fits in there like it was meant to be there!
Added the Junfac sliders, and am debating what to do with the rear bumper.
On the bottom, "beef tubes" in both axles, upgraded driveshafts, and made some anti-wrap bars. Not pretty, but they work great
And out on the rocks. Have a few more details to do on the body, but already love the look. The sports kit body makes all the difference imo.

nice pics....scalerfab makes a nice rear bumper for the sawback. I got one for my sons as he is a lil rough on stuff and its help up great. He broke the rollbar I bought from them so I shipped back along with my tranny plate and they stripped and rewelded both and shipped back at no cost. VERY COOL..
