Lol, I have a wraith and I see the go fast wraith on here and I use hw 4000kv. I like to crawl and some speed. I swear I must've broken a few axles and drive shafts. Sometimes I don't even finish a battery pack.

I'm only geared 16/56 (from memory) and have set the throttle curves so that the majority of the power doesnt come on till right at the end. Gives the best of both worlds, silky smooth down low with loads of top end. Not to mention awesome efficiency, essentially zero maintenance and very low temperatures.

I tried 17.5 and for some reason the combo actually worked good for me. Smooth and decent speed. Worked better than the 13.5 I tried.

Remember, those hobbywing motors are 4 pole, so produce excellent torque compared to a 2 pole like the others listed.

I used to run a 10.5t on 3s in my wraith, it was OK, but nothing mind blowing.
I run a ballistic 550 4.5 in my wraith. Just have to trim the upper mount a little and it fits fine. I've had it in there from when before 4 poles were all the rage. Now I stick to mostly Team Bood or Holmes Hobbies for my crawlers and scalers.

Have not had much wrench time but i finally got the motor I think will be the ticket for me installed. Hobbywing 3656sd 3400kv so I'll be able to run 3s. Now back to mmp, skyrc toro 120a or brushless hobbies lt4 120a. I'm running a bec so none of the specs there matter. All three have good points like carry the program card to adjust in the field but the toro wifi has more adjustibility on the go.

Spot on motor, assuming for a wraith?

Haven't done a huge amount to mine lately, scx10 got some new rcbros zero Ackerman arms, locked up rc spool for the front and finally have the shocks just about where I want them, a little more testing is still needed.

Yep it's a Wraith. Looking at an Orion 2700kv 4 pole in fs section clean setup just not positive if it's enough. Can only run 2s.

How come you can only run 2s? 2700kv on 2s would be pretty dull.

It's the motor/esc combo that's built into the motor and only good for 4.8-8.4 volts it says. But it looks very clean setup. Its the ddrive setup. Looks like I'll find out in a week or so how it works. I really like how clean they look. Also takes the choice out of what esc I'll run for now. If its not enough itll go in one of the kids crawlers or my next build.

Ahh, right. Should be fine for bashing about, but for crawling the lack of drag brake would get to me.

Couldn't wait so I went ahead and installed the mom. We'll see what happens next.

Mmp/hobbywing 3656sd 2s smooth. Need to gear down and go 3s I think. Running 20/87 slowest I can move is too fast but not enough top speed. going to try 16/87 i think. Really like my mmp but they always seem to have a higher start up speed. Really want to try a tekin with this. I have a brushless hobbies lt4 and a toro ts120 but just don't know that I trust either one for this.
