Boy that sounds like the best of both worlds ........... Race stuff that Mario has paid for and then watch him wrench it when you brake. Ship new parts when you get back. ...... Hey did Boss come up with this plan???

got this from scotty when i asked what the high bid was for the carpet:
Hi Mario,

First, Thanks for signing up for the IIC again. I am very happy that you will be racing with us again, It is going to be a great year again.

For the carpet, I am doing it this way. I am asking each interested party to send me their offer and I will sell it to the highest bidder from those offers. Things to consider is:

You will need to pay for the carpet in advance when I accept your bid.
Carpet must be picked up on Sunday morning after the race and be out of the hall by Noon. This is when our contract with the hotel is over and we must be free and clear of the room by then.
We will have the carpet rolled up for you by the carpet layers, so it will be ready to load on your truck/trailer.

Let me know if you have any other questions at all.

Thanks very much,
Scotty

i really dont feel that we need this right now.

Old news found this out last week. I think we should discuss it as a group.

Sorry I missed seeing dumper tonight, I couldn't get away.

How'd it go racing with our guest superstar? Did he drop 4 laps on you scrubs?

Bk- the (group) can't even get their key fees in by the first of the month to make a good faith effort to pay the rent. We have still not sent in a pmt for July because not everyone has paid yet.

What chassis have you been running? Does Art still run for Tamiya?

Hey Brett, welcome to the Colorado thread.

I ran the 417 last night, and I think I'm gonna stick with it. The T3'11 is fantastic, but there's a feel to the Tamiya I just love. I've made some progress keeping it stable in the sweeper, most notably making sure the bumper doesn't rub at all. I think my next step will be to grind off the servo nub and shoe goo it to the chassis along with the inner mount. I marked the entire underside edges (bumper and chassis) with silver Sharpie to try and make any rubbing more obvious.

I was running kitty rugs last night (to Art's Jaco blues), and they seem to be easier to go fast with. The 417 last night with those tires was without a doubt the best car I've ever driven. It was magical. I think the tires are on the verge of being too stuck, and might not work as well on a more planted car, but they seem to be a good match for the aggressive Tamiya.

Art runs for Team Associated now. He's gonna win 17.5 at IIC this year. I have to stay home and learn about having a new baby.

I'm thinking I'll go out and practice tomorrow. Probably 10AM until 2 or so if anybody wants to get some laps in.

Default Heart of America Race

Nitro Guys - Should have made this event as we have two heats of 1/10th touring cars and 1/8 scale 4wd open. Also have a good heat of 1/8 scale GT. Heat was a little out there today, but should be better on Sunday.

Got Rick L. up and running with a Mugen Touring car. Was qualified 11th, but should have moved up with the 3rd qualifer. I'm 3rd in Gt and 8th in 4wd open. Broke the MRX in the 3rd quailifier, but stayed late and have it fixed. Broke the LF then the RR in front of the driver stand. But I am almost a lap faster than when I was here in May, so feeling pretty good.

There is some talk about moving the Fireball race 2-3 weeks next year so not to conflict with the Texas Biggie.

See you in a few weeks back at Hobby Town West.

If anyone was interested in buying Martin Crisps new setup guide for the iPhone or Android phone he's having a sale this week. It's only $10.55 instead of $15.50. The app is called "Setup Workbench"

If your not aware Martin is the author of the XXX main book. He's created a cell phone app with all the same content plus new stuff. It's a cool app and well worth the money considering his book currently sells for $20.

Here's a link to the RcTech thread if you haven't looked at it already.
