Hey Adam,

If you'll be ordering tires in the near term I would like to try some Soft for outdoor racing. Can you order me 2 sets white.

Thanks,
Brent

Sure, I'm gonna give EJ a shout today. The softs wore down pretty quick on carpet, so on asphalt they might get shredded. If anybody else wants to try something for outdoor, lemme know soon.

Just a FYI I have run the softs outside and they will hold up for a bit but will eventually shread like Syn said I wouldn't recommend it. If you are smooth enough and your setup is good they have a ton of bite just keep an eye on how hot they get and it might be fine.

These will only be used when the pavement is cold. They should be like running 24 or 28's. I'll try harder tires when the temps heat up.

If anyone is around the track, I heard that there was a barrel or two that had been blown or knocked over. If you could set it back up that would be great. I'm working on a different banding that we can put on the top and bottom of the drum which should help. Also, I guess just filling the barrells part way was not the answer. We have a water tank, so when I'm down Saturday, we can fill them all the rest of the way.

Mark

Ps let me know if anything happens.

after standing everything back up, the amount of water was not the problem. the problem was that the only band was at the top, so when the wind blew the fence, it pulled on the top of the barrel. filling the barells up more will only make them more top heavy. this is just my opinion. the barells that tipped lost water so you will have to refil anyways.the wind was so high, it actually moved the track barriers.

Mario,

Thanks for standing them back up. I did pick up the other banding and clips, which should be much easier to attach. We can add the band at the bottom and see what it does, but adding more weight can't be a bad thing.

I may be able to get down to the track this afternoon, as it looks like I need to go into Boulder later today.

Mark

A few of us were at the indoor track last night laying down as many laps as possible. With spraying, there's already a decent groove starting to come up, so the track should be in great shape for racing. There's two gnarly low-speed chicanes that really make it technical and challenging, and lots of fun.

Thursday night club race tomorrow. Come on out and join us!

I was able to get to the track yesterday and got all the barrells moved back, the fence up and now have the strapping at the tops and bottoms.

Jim H. We need 6 - 55gal and 8-10 of the smaller jugs ..... Can you get these over to the track for Saturday??

I was surprised to see the dbl 2x's for the back straight moved to the center of the straight. Would not have thought that possible. We will have 20-30 min to get the infield, driverstand and last side of the barrier back in place prior to practice on Saturday.

For any interested, Practice starting at 9:00am until?? Will need $5/each to cover the cost of the VHT/fuel for the blowers and computer. Spread the Word.

Last'ly Thanks to Kieth for helping me with the fencing.
