BIG NEWS!

I have come to an agreement with Bruce Carbone at Speedmerchant and am now a Speedmerchant dealer. If you have had your eye on the new Rev6 1/12 scale car, they will be available shortly.
Bruce is also coming out with a new WGT and a new 235mm 1/10 pan car for the outdoor season.

Someone post a pic i've got to see this. I thought the layout I drew-up last time and Ryan put down was the worst

Plus, it probably doesn't hurt to have a hard 180 now and then, most big race layouts have at least one. Also, there's some scary, scary chicanes! Anyway, I'll bring the others when I'm back next week, but here's a quick submission in case we're looking for a change sometime soon.
Not bad but we really need to do something besides the short sweeper \ 90 at the end of the straight. All of your tracks since January have been this way and its get a bit old.

A picture really cannot do this layout justice...you have to see it to believe it with your own eyes...

I agree, the other 4 I drew up all have long sweepers, I'll bring them out Tuesday. I think maybe none of the layouts this year have been mine, though, so I can't take all the blame.

The new "layout" has a long sweeper, so that should be a nice change. It also has 8 chicanes in a row by the drivers' stand and then one in the middle of the "straight." It might not be a bad idea to bring an unbuilt spare kit along for parts.

With 4 months to go until IIC, I'm ready to start putting in the practice time and really try to improve upon last year. Hopefully that can happen soon.

I wont' make it tonight as I'm out of town on business. I should be there next Thursday, hopefully it will still be up. I've been asking for a chicane for some time, so with 8 I guess i'll get my fill.

Was Ryan at the track late drinking and decided to take things into his own hands?

Look guys, we're in that time of year where attendance is going to be low, and we need to do whatever we can to keep people coming out. Lets start by finding a layout that's challenging enough to keep people from being bored, and isn't so hard that the most regular racers don't even want to come back. Then, lets spray it so there's a decent groove and leave it up for a while. Summers are tough for this club, and we need to work together and do whatever it takes to keep on going.

Here's my humble contribution of 5 layouts I've worked on since CCC. Lets try to agree on one, pick a day to show up, and build it right, with the same kind of attention to detail we gave the build for CCC. Then, lets spray it to start a groove immediately, and have some fun this summer racing our toy cars.

While we are talking attendance, I would try and schedule some Sunday carpet racing on the off weeks from the pavement track. You may get lucky and get the rain day to help bring more racers to the track.

Just my 2 cents.

Also, reminder Pavement work day is Saturday starting at 9:00am. Track should be open for practice when we are done, and racing on Sunday.

we cannot race inside on the off weeks for the following reason. we offered the equipment to the outdoor track on the off weeks if they want it. and we do not have enough equipment to run both. offraod is thin enough as it is and running asphalt and carptet on the same day will gaurentee an abismal turnout for both. if we want to rin inside during the summer i say we do it sat nights. maybe one or 2 a month.
