I am making the trip from the springs to the oval races. For true oval classes, They ran 1/12 scale, 17.5 2 cell, 21.5 2 cell last time. I did run my 10.5 in 21.5 2S last time as I no longer own any 2 celll setups.

Hope is to get a 13.5 1 cell class going as it is a big class at the e-team.

Hey Guys,

(subliminal man says late March-early April) We were wondering (subliminal man says late March-early April) if you guys had given any thought (subliminal man says late March-early April) to if and when (subliminal man says late March-early April) ya'll might be having (subliminal man says late March-early April) your two-day event this spring (subliminal man says late March-early April). Any ideas?

What's good (subliminal man says late March-early April) for you?

Also REALLY looking forward to 1s / 13.5 Dec. 6th. Hopefully can get some additional turnout for 1/12 on "club night" and/or on that Wednesday (Dec. 2?) at E-Plex.

Sorry meeting was called off due to weather. But since you are hinting, what kind of group would be coming from the Montana Area???

Yes, 1/12 scale is gearing up. We had 9 cars today and the short series starts next Sunday. Need to do more work on your accomidations, but everything is set.

As far as "work"...be sure to let me help. I'm pretty handy.

Group? REALLY hard to say since Montanan's have a REALLY hard time committing to anything in advance. I don't know why, but it's not just RC'ers either. The extended family here has pretty much all noticed this characteristic. Drives us bat-shit, but what are you going to do?

You know I'd be there (unless something crazy like a long-term contract comes up at which point I'm at the mercy of what deal I can negotiate for "pre-arranged" days). Bryan G. was hinting that he'd like to go and has purchased 2 cans of Jack. I'd guess we could round up a couple-few suspects. One of the challenges is that half our "squad" are still rocking round cells for power, even in 1/12, which would pose a problem.

Glad I made the drive down in the snow yesterday

Racing was very good in all classes. Have to thank Al Dente for a little WGT car help. Mr. Starnes for many very close laps in the same class. 1/12 scale was a little different, in that I really had a 4th / 5th place car but ended up second, with all the attrition. I'm sure it will be a lot closer next Sunday for the 1st series race.

Glad to see Mr. PRC out running, you had some speed and the car seemed to be getting better each run.

Thanks to CDee for a great pit area. I'll try and keep our side up to your standards

The car finally worked well in the main but I chased steering issues all day. The magenta fronts were very "bitey" at the beginning of a run and by the time they settle down at about 2 minutes in, the train has already gone by a couple times.

Small size 60' x 40' = E-Plex track in Fort Collins
Large 120' x 60' = What the club ran on at Arapahoe County
Current track 96' x 42', similar to IIC, Snowbirds, Cleveland and Omaha

Really small (but successful) is the 24' X 45' track at the Great Falls club. 6' lanes, teaches you PATIENCE as you ride in 3-4 car freight trains with the nose of each following car tucked under the tail of the car in front for minutes at a time. You have to wait for someone ahead to take a bad line (usually) and be ready to POUNCE when that happens. Great fun can be had on small tracks. Obviously a bit tight for T(axi) C(abs) but we've raced VTA there and had a lot of fun, but it's really a 1/12 track at those dimensions.

Our club track for ordinary races is 40' X 65' (had to cut standard 12' wide rolls down to 10' wide, not an insubstantial task...). Our track for our big 2-day event upstairs is 52' X 95'.
