CORRC Raceway.... opening day!

Results for today: http://www.corrc.org/results/479/sun...ober-4th-2009/

Thanks to everyone that came out today. Program went very smooth, one little timing glitch in the 13.5 A-main that was fixed. Track was a little green in the morning, but traction did come up later in the day. Lap times got faster all day.

Also thanks to all the pitched in, donated, etc. It is hard to believe that all this was put together in just a little over a week, all the hard work and effort was worth it.

Race Schedule will be thursday nites and sundays.

This coming wednesday is clean up day at the old track. We need to clean this place up from top to bottom so that we dont forfiet any of our deposit.

Any one that has stuff at the old track, the key has been change!! There is currently 1 copy of the key to the old track hanging by the drivers stand in the new space (which your old key will work for). PLEASE... if you need to use this key make sure you put it back right away, this is the only key for the old space!!

I had the WGT car out a little between rounds, very nice... if you have a pan car, 1/10th scale or 1/12th scale, you really need to give it a spin on this track!!!

Again... thanks to everyone that had a part in bringing this together.

We should all be very proud of what we have been able to create in this club. We have created a national caliber track in our own back yard. The level of racing will continue to improve as we get more settled in our new space. The track is exactly what all of the people that go out of town get to experience a few times a year. Now we get it a couple times a week. This is just the beginning of a great year of racing. I am really proud of the group of individuals that have put forth the effort to make this happen. There have been a lot of people that have helped make this happen, but Chris and Mario have done a great job bringing this all together for the club. Things will only get better from here...

Looking forward to the next race day already

I'll have the new track open for practice today from about 5pm - 10pm. Come on out if you'd you like to wheel it on the new hotness.

CORRC Raceway... Lighting

If you are the first or last person at the track, lights are turned on and off by going in to the breaker room and pushing the round button on the small box up and to the left of the main panels. Push once when you get in, and push once when you leave. Some lights stay on all the time (for right now) others are on motion sensors and will turn off after a short time of no activity.

Please do not go into the breaker box an flip breakers to turn the lights on or off.

thanks... cdee

Strap a 5.5 in and try it. I plan on running mod even if noone else wants to. Have a 5.0 on the way now.

CORRC Clean-Up

Everyone needs to come by the old track tomorrow (wednesday 10/7) to help clean it up. Bring an old vacuum, shop vac, paper towels, windex, a bucket, sponges, rubber gloves, or whatever you have around your house to help clean things up. We need to put a good effort into this so that it does not forfeit any of our deposit. We should all plan to be there between 5p and 8p or so. If you can get there earlier, or cant be there right at 5 that is fine, just come when you can to help get this taken care of.

Also... if you still have stuff there, please plan on picking it up, it will be a lot easier to clean if everyone has their stuff out of there.
.
thanks.... cdee

You can find info about the club at www.corrc.org

Most popular classes are;
13.5 (Super Stock) Touring Car rubber tire
17.5 (Stock) Touring Car rubber tire
World GT

We should start seeing enough people to race 1/12th and VTA in the coming weeks.

VTA rules can be found at: www.usvintagetransam.com

The club will be starting a class called Super VTA, where the only deviation from the VTA rules will be the use of an unlimited motor.

For Touring Car most people are using 5000mA 40C Lipo batteries; SMC, IP, Thunder power, Epic. For 1/12th and WTG people are using Single Cell Lipo.

ESC; LRP SPX, KO brushless, Speedapssion GT2, and Tekin RS.

Motors Brushless: Epic Duo, Epic Duo2, Speedpassion, Novak Ballistic or SS, and Tekin.

Hope this helps and look forward to racing with you.

Brent
