I have come to sit at the feet of the Receiver-less, 1 cell lipo, pan car deities.

I've been running 1 cell lipo in my 12th and WGT on carpet for several months. I have found success using the Novak booster or a 200 mah lipo receiver pack wired straight into my receiver. I have several cars outfitted with different escs. 2 Tekin RS's, an LRP SPX, and a SP LPF 2.0. I bought several HK boosters and I want to move forward into the realm of the HK/TQ booster. I ran a few packs with a TQ type booster in my 13.5 car with an SPX and I think it is running correctly. I turned the switch on and had the boosters +/- wired to the battery +/-. I am having troubles with my RS powered 13.5 1 cell car however. Could someone post what version software, settings, how its wired etc? I get it to run, but a minute or two in the power drops off like the lipo dumped. If I plug my receiver pack in at that point however the car is back to working properly.
Thanks y'all!

Andrew,

I run a Novak Smart Boost, an SMC 1s, 10.5, and a Tekin RS. CRC 1/10th WGT car.

When connecting the Booster in this application, you will turn off the ESC switch, and use the Smart Boost switch as the only on/off switch (leave the esc switch turned off all the time)
When running the smaller Booster with no on/off switch, I believe you must leave the ESC switch off when running also.
Try that, I think it will work.

Pattonjrn: name seem familiar, but he doesn't race at CORRC.

Great day of racing yesterday, and the rain 20 seconds after the last main was perfect!

13.5 was a blast with fast guys everywhere.

Thanks to MR. Steve-O Rossi for the loaner nitro car. it was good to get some wheel time with one again.

late.

Pattojnr, Darren Dill is still around, he doesn't race anymore I believe due to some medical issues. I don't know him personally just as a racing buddy. I ran into him months ago I'm uncertain but I think he still lives up north.. Hopes that helps...
