Today is THURSDAY, RC Raceday at CORRC indoor track!!

It is always fun, but EVEN BETTER when we get a BIG turnout.

13.5 Rubber is usually the big class, how about some of you guys

dust them off and come on out?? We also have the World GT class.!!

See you tonight.

I will have the doors open at 1:00 for anyone that wants to practice
before the racing starts. (maybe sooner)

Awesome turnout last night!!!

It is really neat to see this during the summer for a Thursday night race.

3 heats of 13.5 rubber , 18 drivers, abd we were finished a little after 9:00. maybe 9:30.

Congratulations to Art for a nice win.

Congratulations to all the drivers that showed up for a great night!!

See you guys in 3 weeks.

Default Gearing Help

I have a AE TC4 (I know its a little dated but its what I have) and would like some ideas for gearing with a 13.5 brushless. I now have it geared at 28/72 and I feel like I can go up. I ran the car for just over 10 min and all my temps were very low. Motor 101 deg, esc 80 deg and batt 75 deg. The car is slow. I ran it last year with a 4.5 but this year everyone here wants to run a spec class with 13.5 motors and 36 tires.
Thanks for the help

Awesome racing last night guys I was glad to see the turnout that we had I had a lot of fun and for the most part the racing was clean and fast seems like every week everyone gets better and better.now if we could just keep it going like this.anyways to bcrazy depending on what motor / speed controler your running is how I would gear your car.what I mean is a lot of guys are running tekin combos and they seem to allow a little more heat than other brands and are very tuneable to your liking myself I am running a gtb esc and a novak motor but no matter what you are running I always tune by temp I never run hotter than 170 but that is maxed out well at least for novak stuff you want to be around 160 to be safe right now I run a 104/37 with an internal drive of 1.7 on an 08 xray and it is pretty fast at least on the carpet track at corrc but remember if you run on carpet it will hold more heat than running asphalt because there is not much air to help the cooling but none the less a novak 13.5 calls for a 4.5 fdr but like I said I gear for temp hope this helps you out.

Hey guys just a question is there anyway we can try to maybe get started a little earlier on sunday beings that it is fathers day and maybe be able to beat any afternoon storms just a thought i know there is alot to do in the mornings to get the track ready but if we could start a little earlier i think it would be beneficial to all just a thought.

With the TC4 having a 2.5:1 internal ratio your geared way to low, 6.42, with the spure\pinon your using. With a TC4 having an efficient drive train you could probably gear around 4.0-4.2, but there are many factors that can effect motor temp when your near the edge; driving, front diff type (Diff, spool, one-way), ESC, drive train smoothness, bearings, and air temp if racing outside.

If your running a non-timing advancing ESC and using a ball diff in the front than try a 4.3 FDR and temp after 3 min, adjust as needed. Remember driving can play a roll in motor temp so try to drive as smooth as possible in and out of the turns.

Hey dowg I also run a 10.5 outside and sometimes we are able to put a 10.5 class together but sometimes not so usually they will run 10.5 and 13.5 together

You could move that power plant over to a 235 pan car and go even faster!!! PLUS ..... we are close to having two heats of cars!!
