How about a couple of M05 questions?
Can I use Tamiya M03 driveshafts part 53597 to replace the dogbones?
If you use a battery with plugs in the top, how are you holding it in?
Who's using a rear swaybar?

Yes the dog bones 53597 are the same. You can use tape to hold the battery in. Just wrap around each side, over the wings and the battery. I have the sway bar kit in the bag infront of me and have the same question lol

OK, gotta chassis (M05), gotta build it, gotta radio (thanks Tim), gotta line on a servo (thanks again Tim), gotta wait for the Orca combo (would someone please post when PM has them), gotta a body, gotta paint it, got an idea as to how to paint it, gotta finish basement renovations and just gotta find more time. Thanks Jim for all your info earlier. Looking forward to getting this thing on the road.

Kevin, I use TQ low profile power plugs. You use the stock M05 parts, and no tape required. You just have to connect before the battery is fully inserted. I'll have mine next raceday.

With any luck, the pics are clear enough, (if I could get them on).

I've run a rear sway bay a few times. I quite like it. I installed it in an effort to plant the inside front in hard corners. Seems to work and helps the car rotate in tighter corners.

Thanks for the pics Colin. I might try that or maybe just tape the battery in like Cal suggests.

I saw a few fast Mini's in England running them as well. I might give it a try if I can find one.

Just on the rear. Also a couple of them were long wheelbase, that might be worth a try too.

Looking forward to racing on the 18th. Mini only, sorry Cal.

By the way did you notice the new Associated 12th has been released.
