RACE DATES! Saturday, October 4, 10am and Saturday, October 18, 10am. Classes will be Mini, CTA and (Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus) Off-Road.

If you used them outdoors over the summer, please be sure your off road vehicles are clean and free of mud, bug guts and gopher chunks. It's so hard to get gopher stains out of the carpet. The rules for off-road are as follows:

Any 1/10 scale 2wd buggy or stadium truck chassis (No short course trucks)
Buggy or Truck off road style body
Open Motor/ESC
ROAR approved, 2s, hard case battery
Open rubber tire (clean, no mud/dirt please)
Minimum weight - Buggy 1499g, Truck 1700g

Are you still running Silver Can GT with CTA?
If so, are the rules as before (on-road rubber (including TC) tires, non-ROAR TC bodies).

I have an old HPI BMW M3 GT body which I assume would be legal, but I imagine my old PF Mercedes CLK DTM would not ("T" => Touren => Touring). I have always wanted to paint and use the CLK.

Thank you.

Yes we are! We welcome the heady fragrance of over stressed silver cans. If I had a car that stood a chance, I'd run it too.

Hey gang, the Karting Community needs your help.

Have just finished gluing the tires on my brand new 1/10th scale buggy. Will a mylaps transponder work with what you guys have or can I borrow something that will work?

PS. throw the address out for Saturday for us first timers :-)

Karz uses a different transponder system than the mylaps. I think the have loaner ones. I would just buy one at the track. They are a lot cheap than the mylaps ones.

Hey, welcome to the club. We race at 1721 Summerfield Blvd, in Airdrie. Our website at Karz.ca has all the information and a registration page, for when you want to register for a race in advance.

As Shawn mentioned, we use a different transponder. We should have loaners available. One way or the other, we'll make sure you're taken care of.

See you there!

Thanks guys, now I just have to finish putting the rest of the car together....lol

Count me out for Saturday. The company I pretend to work for was sold about a month ago and they called a meeting on Saturday at noon. So I guess I have to go find out how much and what they are going to take away from us. Next time.

Making the call for volunteers, we will be setting up the track, Friday night at AE Bowers school (1721 Summerfield Blvd) at 6pm. Anyone, including any off road people will to help would be very appreciated. Any questions can be directed to Brad or myself.
Thank you

Hi All

Just a quick note for those coming racing this weekend, I will have a stack of Swap Meet Posters available to take home with you to put up in public locations. I think most of the hobby shops have been done, but would like the posters put up in grocery stores, rec centres, etc that you visit.

Thanks

Aaron

Hi guys, I've got some new obstacles for indoor off road but need some carpet. We are looking for low/medium pile clean "enough" carpet to attach to the obstacle. We need 3 pieces at 4'x7' or any combination that we can cut up to cover roughly 85 square feet.

Let me know if you can source some carpet.
