Ophi

My old 1200 SCR's are happy in their current home; a 12V starting pack for planes/boats. I have not flown this year but the boat runs great!

I am thnking about racing on carpet this winter. I might be able to run one of Dave's old HOFNA OB4 II's...they worked pretty well with rubber and should fly with foam. That or I'll run a 10L3 Touring...direct drive baby! I'll just have to see how the new job goes.

Advice for Ophi...where should I start?

There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.

and from R/C master Yo (don't remember if was Tery or Randy):

A clean car is a happy car; a happy car is a fast car.

I don't know. Maybe ask Colin tomorrow. I don't think it would make a difference. G B is a fun class.

Stu, seems to me you ran mod at the Calgary Tri. I don't know who's setting the rules (if any), for GB/OR, but as Ophi said, it's a fun class. That's why I run a truck body; I'm sure I'd do better with a bugbod. So my vote would be 'run wot you brung' as far as tires and motors. Even wornout offroad tires if you have nothing else! I note that the Regina Tri showed the class as 'Gearbox(foams/street/open)'.

I dont see why you cant run foams in gear box. shawn I was planing on running 3 classes touring nitro, touring stock and gear box but im not shure about that. Im going to try set up the b4 on friday but if I dont like it in practice I wont run it, still trying to figure out how to put some decent tires on it. shawn if you read this tonight and work torrorow can you put aside a fantom monster for me.
Thanks Brian

as far as I can gather foams are ok for gearbox.

should be a fun class, although Colin has the advantage of 4wd
Brian, you need to run it !!
3 classes makes for a busy weekend, I might bring my 04 out and stick a mod motor in it !!!

Stu are you bringing a mod? I hope so. I would race mod if there's a class.
