Default Ready to Run Raceway 2021 Summer On Road Racing - Vancouver RRR

We require all racers, family, attendees present to follow and abide by the guidelines and rules. Failure to do so may result in bylaw fines, and at worst, shut down of the club and race venue.

SOCIAL DISTANCE 6FT+, WEAR MASKS, BRING GLOVES FOR SETUP AND TEARDOWN, HAVE FUN.

1. READ THE ATTACHED PDF FOR RRR COVID SAFETY PLAN
2. PRINT, FILL OUT, AND BRING THE PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT
3. PRINT, FILL OUT AND BRING THE LIABILITY WAIVER


WITHOUT THE ABOVE, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ON TRACK, OR IN THE PITS. Only need to submit documents once for the remainder of the 2021 season.


Scheduled Race Dates:
June 5, 19
July 3,4, 17 (July 10 moved to 3, 24 moved to 17)
July 31 & Aug 1 RRR 2021 Summer Challenge Trophy Race
Aug 14, 28
Sep 4, 18
Oct 2

Class Rules: Stock and SS updated with latest ROAR spec
Minimum 5 cars for the class to run that day.
No other classes to be run unless scheduled.
Motors and ESC to be ROAR Approved.

Novice: New and Young Racers, Come have fun! Scale Spec recommended, but full spec not required. Silvercans, kit spec OK.
Scale Spec: 21.5 Blinky 1350g, FWD cars no min weight
TC Stock: 17.5 Blinky 1320g
TC Mod: Open Motor and ESC 1320g
ALL NITRO CARS TO HAVE MANDATORY THROTTLE RETURN DEVICES AND FAIL SAFE SETUP.
This will be checked and you will not be allowed to race without it.

Nitro TC: .12 engine 1650 grams
Nitro 1/8: .21 engine - Drivers must be approved by RD for this advanced class
GT 1/8: .21 engine ROAR Rules

Club Race Schedule
The schedule is tentative on enough help during setup, the more the merrier, and longer practice sessions we can have. Schedule will always be changed as needed to ensure 6PM or earlier teardown as needed.
We may adjust from 3 Rounds of Qualifying to 2, in the interest of time on any Club Race day.

Friday:
6:00PM Track Blowoff

Saturdays:
8:00AM Track Build - This may start Friday Evenings
9:00AM Traction Laydown
10:00AM Open Practice
11:00AM Round 1
12:30PM Lunch and Open Practice
1:00PM Round 2
2:30PM Round 3
4:00PM Mains
6:00PM Teardown

Location
BCIT Aerospace and Technology Campus
3800 Cessna Drive, Richmond, BC.

We are in the South Lot, the gates should be open year long for racing, accessible through both the main BCIT entrance and the north-bound Russ Baker Way entrance.

Facilities:

Bring your owntables, chairs and canopies. There may be some canopy space for those without.

No washrooms trackside. BCIT Security has allowed us to enter main door and use their facilities. There is also a McDonalds 1 minute away.

Parking charge is included with race entries, we are charged per person racing.

We encourage those withgenerators to bring them and plan with a few members to share costs.
There is shared power available with the club generator, but not quite enough for everyone to tap in.

Prices are the same as last year. Insurance, generator and blower maintenance and fuel, parking lot rental and pop are still our main costs.
The tear down deposit encourages all racers to help with tear down.

All club funds go back into the racing, insurance, track materials, parking charges. If you would like to inquire about our finances, please speak with us.


Rainouts:

Race day cancellations will be on the morning of. No plans to reschedule as we have added extra race dates to compensate for this.

fingers crossed were ever allowed to get together again... what is the concensus on Stock... 17.5 or 21.5.... also Weight rules are we going to go with the new 1320g. Racers chime in...

New Weight rule? Was running 1320 last year hahahaha!

Has IFMAR or ROAR updated their rulebooks to 1320? I haven't been able to find anything.

ROAR ran 1320 during this years carpet nats.They haven't changed the rules on their website for a while.... it still reads 1380 ...

Hey John
I did ask, what is the minimum weight for TC and everyone said at the ROAR National indoor Carpet is 1320g the minimum weight for all three major TC classes

What motor was stock last year? I thought outdoors it was 17.5 but maybe I misunderstood.

i hope they open things up sooner then last year

cheater, no wonder you are so fast.....

I'd say stick with 17.5 for stock, so there is a different to USGT
otherwise, someone's USGT will be faster than TC stock,

It doesent look like they will lift anything before the may long weekend I was really looking forward to a two day race/tuning days

not only are we looking for a restrictions lift, but an allowance of 50 people...

25 nitro folks can be one event pitted at one end of the track and the other event can be electric with 25 people at the other end

outdoor gathering limit is still 10 people max.
