Registration is now open for the Tuning Haus Summer Haus Party - Part 1. Doug Gardner TQ'ed registration this morning but you get Honorary TQ Carlos for first F1 registration. Not surprisingly, GT Sedan is leading the way in entries and we expect a very large and competitive field in this class as well as F1 and 13.5 TC. However, fun and good times is a priority at our events and with plenty of track time, racing with your friends at the beautiful Tamiya track, tasty BBQ that will be at the track and trophies and prizes, a good time is ensured.

Body update for GT Sedan class
GT Sedan bodies will still be limited to 190mm bodies and "scale" looking shells (no pure TC bodies. You will get to see plenty of those at the Reedy Race next week).
Just prior to our final round SoCal RC Scale Winter Series race, a new body was released. At the time, we choose not to allow the body for THAT event as we wanted to have the opportunity to test and evaluate the new Protoform PFM-10. Variety is the spice of life and we realize the "go to" body has been the Tamiya or HPI NSX bodies that are difficult to find today. However, there are still a number of people who own these bodies and race then so we have choosen to continue to allow the NSX but want to see the series and racers have options to run different bodies but still feel they have a competitive opportunity.
Bill Jeric and I did testing with the Protoform PFM-10 vs. the Tamiya 2004 NSX, a proven competitive body in our series. The results were lap times that were similar between the two bodies. Based on this, we are going to allow the Protoform PFM-10 in the Tuning Haus series starting with the Tuning Haus Summer Haus Party June 13th at Tamiya Raceway. We hope this will provide more variety and allow all racers to have available options they feel will allow them to continue racing in our series on a competitive footing.
Remember, rules for the GT Series is to cut on the marked body lines. Below are pictures of my "one day" paint job PFM-10 that was used for testing. We have specifically posted pictures of the back and rear wing as this is where some people may want to get "creative" with the body trimming. What you see pictured is the proper body line to cut. Please follow this cutting line. If you try to cut up higher on the rear to allow better air flow out the back, you will be asked to tape off the back to close up like in the pictures or not be allowed to run the body. For the rear wing, there is a cut line embossed in the lexan. Please do not try to cut the wing above the line to give it a taller TC body type effect for more down force as that will not be allowed either. The schedule will be tight at our Summer Haus Party at Tamiya and we will not hold up the program for someone having to tape off the back or trim down the wing so please respect the spirit of our rules.

Reedy Race of Champions - We were represented !
At this weekends Reedy Race of Champions, 5 of the top 10 A main drivers in the 17.5 TC class were regular competitors in the SoCal Scale Series presented by Tuning Haus Winter Series at TQ finishing 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th. They showed they could make the switch from carpet to asphalt and still lay down the fast times. All told, 22 GT Sedan racers from the Tuning Haus Winter Series competed in the 2015 RROC.

Does 13.5 TC use regular TC rules and race format?
