Sorry it's been a super busy couple of weeks. June 24th was Notch's laptop but they're in a facebook album that I think you can view publicly that I can't seem to link here directly

The onroad track is racing this weekend, we're planning to clean the track and have a new layout provided by Jarrod Kadonaga and Mark Blanco, installed on Friday night for early Saturday practice.

Racing will be Sunday, we should be able to get started racing at 9am as the marine layer should be non existent, the track should be open by 8am ready for practice.

I took a shovel to the track perimeter on Saturday last week and cut down all the weeds. Didn't have a rake or broom to finish the clean up so I am the guilty one for the weeds on the ground on race day.

Thank you to those R/C Gods that have answered my prayers for some sort of relief while we are on the driver's stand. That shade worked great today and the soles of my feet felt the relief as well. Great job guys, thanks. See everyone in the morning.

P.S. I think that shade will be a big plus for the BFTR.

Thanks to all that attended, results can be found here Freedom Park Raceway :: Onroad Club racing :: LiveRC

Don't forget to pre sign up for BFTR at https://www.rcsignup.com/events/disp...nt.cfm?ID=6497, Reedy asked to be the title sponsor of the event along with two kits from Team Associated and many raffle prizes from many vendors and the list is still growing!

There will be one offroad club race prior to the JBRL event coming up this weekend on the 15th, the track is smooth and seems like it's going to groove in nicely on this build.

We will be back again racing onroad on the 22nd, usual practice on Saturday.

The track will be open for practice this Saturday and racing on Sunday as the last opportunity to get some time in on this surface before the Reedy Powered Big Fat Turkey race https://www.rcsignup.com/events/disp...nt.cfm?ID=6497

*** IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ ***

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform everyone that both of the tracks at Camarillo are closed to us indefinitely although you are free to use them independently. JBRL is being redirected to Hot Rod Hobbies, BFTR and Goldenstate have been cancelled. I will be working on refunds for pre entrys soon.

I've done my best to leave the tracks setup for success with new asphalt and a fresh offroad build. I've even reached into my own pocket past the club funds to try and keep things moving but the parks are currently an immovable rock in my path. I'm planning on continuing to work around this situation but I can't see a short term fix that would allow us to hold our clubs yearly races. I'm still the president of the club but without a track or location, the 47 year old club is a bit short on a place to race but feel free to message me if you have any ideas on what to do.

From what I can tell, it looks like some familiar faces will be taking the tracks over and operating it with the blessing of the parks department. I hope this goes well for everyone and we regain a place to race in our area.

That's sad to hear. I was hoping to run in the BFTR next month.
Good Luck to you, and hope everything works out.

Sounds like 'in fighting". Someone else thinking they can do a better job or am I misreading your post??? Is it a park and rec insurance issue? Can you be more specific?
