Hey all...does anyone know if the 1/18 class at Hobbytown USA is stock or mod? I haven't actually raced R/C in over 15 years...so what is allowed in stock class? Original motor, ESC, battery, suspension, gears, or what? I have an RC18T with street tires, 1600mah battery, and a DP gear cover. Will that be ok? I may not be able to make it tomorrow, but next time...definately!!! I just want to know what the requirements are for racing. Also, how does the racing work. Only one race...winner takes all? I only have two batteries and a SLOW charger. I can't run more than two times so I need to know if I need another battery or not. I know this is a lot of questions, so thank you for reading.

I'm not sure how they will do it here but at Discount hobby for 1/18 stock class pretty much change anything the only thing we allowed for the motor is the venom other than the stock. If they have a different rules I guess I will have to find out tomorrow.

That was fun. The weather was great, we need to know when the next race is? MOD is 10.5, 7.5, 3.5, 6,5 Super stock is 13.5 Stock 17.5

JAWZ you almost got me.

John your car ran a lot better in the main.

that was don right fun My 415 in the stock class was dialed(except the gearing) I couldnt break it loose. The Mod class was a different story, dont know how I lead for 4 laps and ended up in 4th damn firehouse just jumped out in front of me. I had fun till next race.... next Sunday I'll bring my A-game

Also guy's I apologize for the first incident of ripping up the transponder line, It's a new car and somehow the steering post screw worked it's way loose. I even lock-tighted all the screws on the build, I had nothing to do with the second incident though.

Default race

Big thanks to Hobby Town for putting on the race. Also to Tweb and Karl for help. Track held up great. Traction was awesome! couldn't even tell it rained on friday.

Car was great Tweb! couldn't ask for a better set up. well maybe brushless. I'll have a new motor and tires for sure by the next race, but probably be running those same 3300 side X sides.

what were those tires again?

It's was a nice day all day, running on counter clockwise got me in real shock as a newbie racer it's something different for me. It was a bumpy track with a whole lot of traction.

Default Tires

Hey John,

The tires you used were Sorex 36R, I would recomend the Sorex 28R in that weather because of the temp. The traction was so good RP 30's would work also.

Any one else have any ideas?

Hoping to have my M-03 up and running. Thanks for coming out guys.
