No I think the race length of 3 hours is right but the heats should only be 1 hour. You have to remember Trev started about an hour later than he had planned due to various problems. It was a good idea to increase the final to a 10 car grid.

I know I have voted for unlimited batteries but my initial suggestion earlier was 3 packs per driver instead of 2. This would at least take some of run time worry away particularly if a team has a car failure. Also means we would probably have 10 teams circulating at the end instead of about 5. Maybe result in even more teams entering because they know they can make runtime.

vr01, ive relented, i think ur right, either give every car one more pack, or reduce the race time, personally i'd prefer the extra pack so we get to race for 3 hours, also, a request, if we are to keep the 10 teams in the main event, can we get an addition to the drivers stand, to say it was cramped up there would be an understatment, and when ur up there for 30 mins and no room to stretch ur legs etc, its not very good

Nofx - thanks for your comments but unfortunately it was a last minute decision to run ten in the final.

NOFX - myself and a few others asked (convinced?) TJ to run a 10 car final because there were 14 teams and the racing in both heats had been really clean. That way less people missed out on the 3hr gig.

Don't know if it's possible to increase the width of the stand without affecting driver vision from either end. If TJ lets us use any extra pack each for the next one then you will only have to be on the stand for 15 minutes at a time...
