High Performance Nitro

Now now guys.. we can do better than that eh. There is too much fighting in the world. wheres the Honey love .. ? HBB
Anyway i wanted to elaborate on Chubners post. It is a very interesting subject and we are generally misguided . I dont believe Chubner uses my fuel at all it , its just some of the boys up the coast having a dig at my expense but not to worry , they have done us a favor ! Why ? because they opened the subject and for that i thank them ! Cheers Guys !
Ok i emailed my partner in New York , his name is Brian Cooper and he is responsible for some of the best fuel designs we enjoy every day , now before you go blindly dissing Brian please read up on his site www.cooperfuels.com he is very well respected in the industry. He has no less than 7 world records under his belt for designing and supplying fuel to speed record holders. As well as countless A main vitories in many many categories.
Anyway back to it , I asked him the simple question . Why do cranks rust ? Is it the Nitro that does it or the methanol. And here is his answer
BC
Its actually the alcohol that precipitates the problem, and nitro to a lesser degree. When fuel is burnt, it leaves nitric compounds in the engine. When the wet alcohol left in the crankcase is exposed to air (which contains moisture), the alcohol will suck the moisture out of the air before it evaporates off. The moisture then combines with the nitric type compounds in the exhaust residues and forms one of the nitric acids, that does the corrosion damage. The best rust inhibitor is castor oil for glow fuel engines. It makes no difference what type of nitromethane is used and using the purest stuff (Chinese) is still the best bet. There has been thousands of articles online about the problem, and the single cure is user maintenance.

you can ask him direct www.rcuniverse.com his nick name is Fuel Man , read his articles on tuning, maintenance and fuels. You will see how well respected he is. And you can ask him just about anything he will help you out and if he dosent know he will find out and get back to you...
Hope this has been informative and helpful !

yeh massive. my name is not brad and i don't live up the coast . i purchased your fuel from kellets. now while all your efforts continue to draw attension away from your fuel rusting my motors crankshaft have made for a very interesting read the fact still remains that i have always run the motor dry and used a healthy amount of after run and have never had rust apearing inside the motor. the only thing that has changed is that i am now using your fuel.
can you tell me why the fuels i have used (coolpower,AT) DID NOT make rust start to apear but yours does. i have cleaned the crank and gone back to using AT and what do you know ! the rust has gone.

What is wrong with someone saying they dislike a product, I think MM has big enough shoulders to carry ppl's concerns, isn't that what ppl like MM want feedback good and bad so they can address any issuse, products are like ppl not all are perfect, unlike you "theunderhanded"
