hey Andy where do i get me one of those ? Am i in danger of becoming a couch potato ? lol Seriously how real is it, can you make real time adjustments to the car and radio ? Do these changes translate to real adjustments ?

Can you play with aerodynamics as well ?

Sorry for all the questions

www.virtualrc.com You can download the game for free with 2 tracks, Oslo Norway and Rc speedway (oval).

From there on it is about $9 AU for a track, there are currently 13 world tracks out right now. You can also buy a usb adaptor that you can plug into your reciever and use your own control.

There is also online racing against people from around the world, right now its racing against the clock and whoever gets best times proceeds to next round and ultimately the 45 minute final.

Multiplayer will be coming out soon though so you can look forward to that.

And finally the answer to your question lol you pretty much adjust anything you can on your real rc car, they want the game to be as real as possible so have put in all gear ratios and top major brand cars for 1/10 and 1/8.

Default VRC

Hey Mark,
Yep Matt hit the nail right on the head....Virtual RC is VERY VERY real.....theyve made it more of a simulator than a game...the cars handling dynamics are the next best thing to actually racing the real thing.
Everything is adjustable....toe angles, camber, wing height, clutch, shift points, camber etc etc etc....the tracks are like a photo image of the real thing---amazing!!
Get the USB adaptor, your receiver plugs into this, and then you race using your normal radio
The lap times on VRC are so close to the real times you`ll get at the track too
Cheers Andy

We could use some more members, i think there is only a few thousand members. May seem like alot but half of them join and never play lol, and this years race season has money involved so there should be alot more people joining now.
$1000 1st
$500 2nd
$250 3rd

I think thats right.

They haven't got to the part where people can put their own bodies on lol but alot of people have been asking so soon you will be able to do your own paint scheme and everything.

There are some nice bodies though that vrc have made and all the brands bodies aswell like Kyosho,Serpent,Mugen,Sheperd,Tamiya,Eagle,AE,OFNA and so on.

They are bringing out a electric version eventually aswell which should be very good with carpet racing and everything. They did a debut of it at the GR Batteries World Cup in Lausanne Switzerland where Marc Rheinard won of course lol who else.

I think thats all there is left to say thank god

Ahhhh such memories.....i always wanted an LJ Torana...preferably a GTR XU1....but as it turned out, never got one .......nowadays I`d guess a genuine GTR XU1 in good nick would be worth a small fortune.
Cheers

Just wondering if you have done anything with Sirio's and what you think of the Evo 3?

Hey Andy !
Nah tuesday night was washed out... Lucky tho i had the wrong gearing for the track i would have been at max RPM the whole time.. Its set up for Grass racing up at Red Head this sunday .. Should do ok.. just not sure about the balance of the vehicle since i lightened it.. Man up till 3 am with the grinder re shaping the lower arms, took out radio and battery box, rear wing, side guards... managed to shave 380 grams ! she really rips now !

Hey SloMTX4 !

Yeah ive done a fair few sirios 21's and 27's mainly.. The new evo 3 .12 apparently goes real nice, I was chating with Nick Jaber re this and he says they are good.. They have addressed the crank pin problem.. Sirios have always been a good performer its just the raw materials that have been letting them down in the past.. lets hope they come back , they are a nice engine.. not as nice as CMB but nice lol
