Mr. Jaylow215.

I see from your signature you are a bit of a Vintage driver. I'm looking forward to discussing your car collection with you.

I'm assuming there's no racing today?

There was racing today - mostly though, drivers forfeited round one qualifying as it was a little wet under foot.

Us hardcore racers were in, not scared of mud..... which also led to the race of the day, a duel between Wiggy and I!

The track dried out and was absolutely fantastic to drive on, with a few of the new parts taking a dislike to my truck, sending it cartwheeling over the new barrier.

On two separate occasions I managed to chuck my ZX5 and my ST into the timing hut - Sorry Paul

They do say that the best racing you can do is when you start to get consistency in your laps..... not sure that's exactly what they meant, though!

Track was really good to drive on today. There was a blue groove appearing that got darker as the day progressed.

B5 was awesome to drive. I reckon Comic Book Guy would say: Best, buggy, ever!

Bring on the the Knox Cup!

Was pretty awesome for my first time and I liked the track....although I've got a bit of work to do on learning about gearing. Getting smashed by 7 seconds a lap needs a bit of improvement. 42 seconds my quickest lap is a bit embarrassing. Couldn't hang around for my race but was wicked fun. Will be joining up for sure.

What do I need to look for in getting a transponder?

Despite the best efforts of mother nature it was good to finally get to race on the new track. A big thank you to all those who put the effort in for the rebuild, the track is ACE... Had a lot of fun running 21.5 with John, Bob and my family. Bring on the next one!!

Cheers

Matt

Gearing will only cost you $20 to sort out, and maybe pick yourself up some new shock oil to stop it bouncing. Other than that it looked good to me. And you did well considering it was your first run.

Transponder wise, all you need is for it be either Mylaps or AMB. It doesn't matter which model from them.

Default Racing today at Knox

Great relaxed day's racing today. Track developed blue groove after the weather and many hard driven laps all day. Awesome day lads.

Great to see the Keilor and Wodongan gents running today. Made some new friends, and welcomed some new blood to the club and the new Novices were welcomed warmly.

Great battles as usual, in all classes. Mad 4x4 truck action, and some new lap records set for the layout.

I've got a BIG smile on my face tonight.

Thanks to Simsy for running a fuss free and relaxed day's racing today.

Thanks Tim. I did a bit of reading on gearing and all sounds pretty easy.
I might even chuck in my 12.5 and give that a run in Novice next time.
