That looks awesome. Looks better than a 80% job to me.

Thanks for your replies Tony and Old Fart. Might have to have a crack at something.

Thanks guys. There is a few changes to the original I had laid out on the body. I guess a painter always knows his errors

That is one nice shell...

Those colours are familiar... Can we expect Mr HEI himself to run 1/8?

B4james - that body is amazing! Having pistons on a car withrx8 written on it feels wrong though

In other news, Just tried to paint my fgx f1 body and made a dead set meal of it with tape bleed. Really really dissapointing

Where can I get liquid mask from in Sydney? Either that or who's interested in painting a couple of bodies for me lol?? A 2 colour design and other a 4 colour design with 2 words on the nose. Both standard f1 liveries. Anyone interested please pm me with what the $$ might look like

A one for a local racer and its twin is still in shed.

I still haven't figured this shading out. I suppose practice is needed.

Thanks guys, as far as racing goes that is one that the man himself would need to answer as I think this shell was going to be on a display car in the shop. Being a rotary owner I can get the irony of pistons and an RX name

JA,

how much do you like all the folds and creases and bubbles and stuff on those one eighth shells? Not to mention trying to blow paint right up inside the side dams..

I have mentioned how much of a pain it is to Dale @ Protoform, he said I wasn't the first to moan about it....

Yeah it was a challenge keeping everything nice and even over all the folds and bubbles, but the main pain is getting the paint into those damn side dams lol
