Hey Mr Badman looks like its available to the general public next week!
Tell us what width did it end up at with F103 wheels / rubbers ?
Is the ride height adjustment flexible enough to run both 103 and 104 wheels ?How long is the thing - Will 103 bodies fit on or is it 104 length ?
Good price with a 17.5 combo will be sweet when we go back to real F1 rules next year I hope
Cheers

I have to admit it is an impressive looking car Brett came and raced it Castle Hill last night. Not that he had the greatest success this time around like he said its work in progress.

Front and rear width is 200mm. Wheelbase is 272mm.
You will be able to run F104 wheels I am going to just run a bit longer 1/8" kingpin up front. The RSector widening kit for the f104 fits perfectly on the drive side and a longer spacer, about 7mm on the non drive side will give a rear track of between 196-198mm running f104 wheels.
I am assuming F104 bodies will fi considering the F113 body fits the F104.
I thought 21.5 blinky would have been too slow but I am quite surprised with the speed.
I have run the demo car 3 times on 3 different tracks. With a bit more development time I think it will be a really quick car on our relativly low grip tracks.
So far I have found stiff front springs 700wt oil soft centre spring and med/stiff side springs with a faily heavy roll damper is heading the right direction.

More to follow after tomorrows session at SMA.

The advertised weight of the car is 1100g. Not sure if that is fully loaded I will weigh it tomorrow.

Ran the car at Riverstone today. Much ground gained went a bit softer on the roll damper but kept the CRC red side springs. I am running a damper tube at the moment for better clearance. Was running 100k reduced to 50k was better.
I gave the Ride R1 TITC control tire which is F104 diameter and widths with quite good results but I feel F103 tires are my preference. I ran longer kingpins for F104 tires.

How do I calculate a FDR on the F113 using Ride R1 tyres? I'm aiming to get as close to 3 as I can, can't find anything in the manual regarding internal gearing. But seeing as the spur is on the rear axle I'm guessing you don't have an internal gear ratio? So the calculation is (spur/pinion)*1 = FDR?

Confused!

Its like any other direct drive car - spur/pinion

you can leave off the *1 as that's a touch redundant

Alturnatively you can go to either gearchart.com or download an app for smartphones like gearit for apple or workbench for android.

Ok i ran the car kit setup with 17.5 and 13.5 today at SMA. It was very impressive running shimizu soft rears ps0545 and med front ps0543 but very agressive. Running hard fronts ps547 was much more forgiving.
This car likes hard front springs hard side springs and soft center spring. If you want more steering go with med front tires. If the car is too snappy go with harder side damping but it will slow down change of direction.
I think f103 tires are going to work best but as i found out todat you have to trim the inside of some front rims to clear the kingpins. Also Shimizu rubbers glue better to f103 foam rims. They wear more evenly.

BTW the kit spring rates are very close to perfect for our tracks and rubber tires

What front wheels fit this bloody car? None of the RIDE R1 preglueds fit. Urgently need a set for the TFTR race this weekend.

The Ride R1's will fit when you change the spacers around above and below the knucles. I had said previously that longer kingpins will be better for the F104 tires. You can use any 1/8 kingpin with circlips on the F113.
