Default tri club series

Quote
2) Is there only going to be 1 round of the Bordertown/Mildura events? Or race at all 3 tracks?

It was anticipated that the tri series would have a meet held at each of the host clubs, otherwise its not really a tri series, at least we can plan for the meet at your club, Mildura/ Bordertown?.

The weekend allocated is just a placeholder for a weekend of the Tri series.

Seemed like good logic to use it for either the ARCR or Mildura hosting a round as it gives a long weekend for the travel (Bordertown is mid way from both and can be done easily in a day)

Please note nothing is confirmed in regard to the Tri series as Mildura is looking to move track around mid year and Bordertown has indicated they are having issues with their surface.

The 3 clubs are working on getting it organised. We will update as soon as we have anything firm.

Cheers Matt

Is someone able to explain why July 11th and Aug 8th are not point rounds?

Hey Dan,

So at the AGM it was decided to have 1 season over the whole year. So we'll have some race meets to be for points and some to not be (mix up the racing a little bit and have more casual club/alternative options).
The idea was to have 15 points rounds and take the best X of what ever was run. So we have some slack in the possible year to have points and race.

There is a bit of gambling being done that in winter there is more likely to be rain, so higher risk of no racing and possible other clashes so points rounds are spread around winter it seems. Matt can give you a more precise account ( and I could be wrong :-) )

We going to see you out and about this season?

The first race meet will be a club meet, so no drop, the first points meeting will be using the new Truck rotation and 2WD SCT will be out first.

For those who did not attend the GM ( and since I believe I'm still sitting on the Minutes ) the new rotation will be Trucks only. All 4 buggy classes will run every race meet. The rotation will be 2WD SCT, 4WD SCT and Stadium truck.

Stadium truck will still be 10.5T as it has been previously, we have not changed to the AARMCC mod class.

Very shortly the full calendar will be up here, FaceBook and the website with all the drops etc included.

My Apologies on the lateness of the Mintues, between work, trips for work, Xmas, the fires (Glencoe and here ) I've been quite stretched to get things ready before I pop off tomorrow to NZ for a week and a half. I'll get it all back on track when I get back

Like the year before, I've taken some of my favourite photos from 2014, shoved them into movie maker and stuck a song on it. You've probably all seen them before, but ah well......gotta do something with all these pics

+ YouTube Video

Thanks Jeff for explaining what the deal is. Yes i will be getting out there again this year, not sure how often as i have a lot going on this year with work, babies, weddings, and home reno's. But i still have my Stadium truck and 4wd stock Schumacher, and i plan on using them as often as i can.

Cheers!

Excellent! Enjoyed that video Trav! Even the wagon wheel made the cut... And who could forget that massive double double!

Just on the program side of things, is it still necessary to even drop a class each round? Ive always thought it makes the numbers a bit messed up, and people race different classes when theirs is out so it makes the day the same length as if they were racing their normal class. I think numbers would be a lot more predictable if all classes ran each meet. Also think this could hurt the truck classes numbers as people will got to buggies so they don't have weeks off every 3 rounds.... Im sure that would make some people happy! Damn you truck haters!
