The Manta Ray is not really the modern cab forward look. The modern one has this lump at the front and then drops off ( the bulldog look really I guess). The cab in the Ray while still quite forward is really still part of the sleek body and fits in perfectly.
It's all aesthetics in the end, the designer in me does not like it.
Given the choice between this
My favourite 2WD buggy ( in its only available body
and this
My other 2WD buggy
I'd take the later body any day.
Note : not my actual bodies :-)

Looks like the weather has frightened some people away.
Currently Classes in the running for Sat are
2WD Buggy ( 8 entrants)
2WD SCT (5 entrants)
SCT MOD (5 entrants)
Novice (2)
Weather is actually looking fine now. Come along!

I also had a Hirobo Zerda, with a for RS200 body shell on it, that was after my AYK Sidewinder, and before my RC10 Graphite.
Hirobo also did one of the first 4wd 1/12th on road cars, from memory, it special front clutches that only engaged when the wheels had a side load on them. So in a straight line, they were 2wd, and turn into a corner and they become 4wd, very clever thinking.
