The Manta Ray is not really the modern cab forward look. The modern one has this lump at the front and then drops off ( the bulldog look really I guess). The cab in the Ray while still quite forward is really still part of the sleek body and fits in perfectly.
It's all aesthetics in the end, the designer in me does not like it.

Given the choice between this
Adelaide Radio Controlled Raceway Inc.-new-cougar-svr-2wd-designed-dirt.jpg My favourite 2WD buggy ( in its only available body
and this
Adelaide Radio Controlled Raceway Inc.-l_cougar_sv2_ftq_1000.jpg My other 2WD buggy
I'd take the later body any day.

Note : not my actual bodies :-)

I really like the look of the forward cab and to me the Pro-line Bulldog body is one of the best looking

Come on Daniel get with the times cab forward isn't that bad...

The Hirobo's did handle quite well. My first RC car was a Hirobo Zerda 4wd.. Back in 1986

Where did those years go? Oh well, if I had them back, I'd only wate them racing toy cars again

I also had a Hirobo Zerda, with a for RS200 body shell on it, that was after my AYK Sidewinder, and before my RC10 Graphite.

Hirobo also did one of the first 4wd 1/12th on road cars, from memory, it special front clutches that only engaged when the wheels had a side load on them. So in a straight line, they were 2wd, and turn into a corner and they become 4wd, very clever thinking.

Don't be shy everyone as racing is on for this Saturday... All are welcome.
Also this might be your last chance to get some timed practice in before the club season championship start next month...
