Ashley
I would never go that high in rollout at Meakin in 540, the best rollout would be between 45 and 48 it really depends then on car and driving style, I have found that if you run a little bit taller rollout you need to be extra smooth not to wash of speed thru the corners or it will over heat the motor as well...so start at 45 to 46 and put up woith not being the fastest in top end once you get better then use some more roll out

Do you think my theory about going from one extreme to the other is correct?

Ashley yes you are correct in some ways, going from under geared to over geared, the problem with 540 is they make no power hence pull out of corners so if it's to high and your on and off the gas it will heat up more and lose power....thats why you need to be smooth and flowing......

Cheers sherif, I'll grab a few different gears to get me around the 45-46 mark and have a play before the race on saturday.

Cheers

if it's under geared it will struggle to rev and heat up as well

Josh, If I am able to go you are more than welcome to hitch a ride.

Hopefully I can make it this Saturday night, so let's hope the rain stays away, although we do need it but lets have it rain out west and not where we are ay!

Cheers
Aaron
