Default Sydney indoor race track is a go!

Hey guys... some of the most exciting news in a while has now been confirmed, and is currently had its first night of construction!

To some that have heard around the traps of a new indoor track in the works, it is now a sure thing. Hawksbury city council have given the go ahead to start work on the new facility out at windsor.

I was one of the lucky few who have seen this exciting venture and have managed to take some happy snaps, and at this stage as alot of things regarding track layout and shop design are set in concrete their are still a few minor bugs to that these guys are going to sort out we will all see this operation up and running very soon.

And from pic attached the track has been layed out to give us an idea on what it will be like before it's pemantly fixed to the surface but you'll get a rough idea that this is going to be awsome layout to drive and grip should not be an issue.
The surface is perfectly flat no bumps and it's not polished, it has been grinded and by the end of the first race meet the grip should be very good!

I can't wait!

Is there plans to throw down Ozite or Asphalt as a racing surface once things start taking off?

Default Yeah Yeah

As Adz said we went out to the new facility last night and all I can say is wow!!!!! the venue will be sensational. I am taking a car out there myself this week some time when I have a chance and I will let you all know what I think, but if my initial impressions are good it should be nice. I think it will be easy on tyres and give them a long life.

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great work, can't wait. Just hope it's not a car breaker. When does it open to run cars on i.e practice without a lap system.

Coxy.

From what the boys have said it they want it fully up and running by the time santa fills our stockings or even sooner.

And as far as being a car breaker nick and i were only stressing that same point on saturday night, and we are working on a few different options with track materials to prevent as little damage to the cars as possible.

Hi guys

We hope to have it up and running without lap counters within 2 weeks dont forget there is a pro-shop attached to the track. so we still have a lot to do. We are just as excited as you guys and we wanted this to happen 4 months ago.

Thank you for your feedback and we have put a lot of effort in it to try and make it a non car breaking track.

Cheers

Hay ADZ

Where you talking about the corners or the straight bits, I spoke to TT about getting the samples of what we discussed for the corners and we should have samples tomorrow arvo.
