Default CDC question

hey
i was just charging my batteries on my CDC version 6/b ( the eagle one) and the light the backlit light has gone out

was going on ??
could that be from too many charges
Can i be fixed by myself ??
does this happen normaly????

Please help I have no idea

Yea it happens all the time. It's just a fault of them. Don't worry too much, it still chargers.

yes you can open it up..i did it to mine , it has a Backlight LCD with LED's.. open it up then locate the lead coming from the LCD backlight and then take out the plug and put it back in firm. After i did this to mine.. it has worked ever since.

While we are talking about this charger, do you need a separate power supply for these, or do they hook up to mains power? I'm looking into buying one and am just doing a costing. Any help would be greatful.

Yes you will need a power supply for it unless you fork out the extra cash and get the ac/dc version...

you are better off getting the standalone unit and a separate 12V PSU as you may want to use the PSU to power other items as well (second charger, tyre warmers, etc)

is there a problem with the powerd cdc or is it just that you want a seperate psu to use on other stuff

cos you see i already have a seperate psu so should i get the powerd or non powerd


and he posted in two threads cos he probibly wants more answers just to make sure he can fix it

You can buy the LED back light from Integy( well at least 6 months ago you could ) it cost around US$12 check their site later as it is down at the moment
