While your all at it, you might as well go start a debate n chat in the for sale and wanted threads. Oops my bad you've already done that many times over. :flaming: :weird: :p :ha:

Comm Drops on 540

I ran 540 at the last Club Challenge meet with a brand new 540. I was worried that I might be too slow because it wasn't broken in. I ran it for about 1/2 hour @ 5 volts to try to get the brushes started seating.

At the meet I was pretty surprised at the amount of torque from the motor. I kept gearing up starting at about a 39 roll-out. Then in the 2nd qualifier I thought - HEY why not drip some comm drops in there. I did and I think it made a hell of a differience! I ended up on a 42.75 roll-out and think I could have kept going, but I ran out of pinions/spurs and motor angle!

Give it a try, it worked for me. I wish my driving were better I would have placed better - but 1st in B's in the 540 field isn't too bad.

BTW - nobody in the B final could touch me, led the whole heat!
