So with the water thing do you just drop the whole motor in water?

Yes. Dip the whole thing in a cup of water while it's going.
And no, it's not going to electrocute anyone. |
to run my 540 motor in i like to do the following procedure:
step1: place motor on ground step2: grab touring car step3: place it in the passengers seat at the front of your real car step4: place your car in reverse step5: release handbrake step5: reverse over the motor step6: place car in "D", then accelerate. step7: repeat steps 4,5,6 and 7 3 to 4 times. step8: place crushed motor in a glass of water :lol: step9: place a hassle free and very quick brushless motor in your 1:10 electric touring car. this method is a little more time consuming but i think it solves the issue of the slow 540 motor when new. i found that the brushes become really well worn in......to the ground:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :p :p :p :D :D :D :D :smile: :smile: :smile: :smile: :smile: :D :sneaky: :spidey: |

Re: 540 run in method
Originally posted by Professor ithought you prefered the crown larger method or is this only when it is supplied by a friend A cheaper alternative could be a Maccas strawbery thick shake. This would have the advantage of already coming in a container suitable for the purpose. The strawberry content of the thick shake is acidic and consequently aids the bedding in process of the brushes. :weird: |
This is the best laughs I have had in ages am I right that some of us here aren't keen on 540's:lol: :lol: :lol:

same old scenario
Guys, please cmon now, don't let this thread go down the same path as the last 3000. All a guy wanted to know was how to run in a motor. What follows is a thread full of semi useless information etc. Idea, make a thread for that. I'm not meaning to upset anyone but seriously, i came onto this thread to find out some good info on motors, and once again it's 9/10ths full of useless rubbish.
tc3=speed, follow murphy's recipe mate, sounds like a winner, 3 ties over ;) |
I know tc3 quite well and he is a young racer trying to learn as much as he can and all he gets from u guys is jokes.This forum is going downhill at a very rapid rate.:mad:
|
Its good to see some humour from time to time but some people as the joker above take things a little to serious!!!:nod:
Must have something to do with being partly sponsored. Trying to keep his end up or something.:cry: :cry: |
