no racing this weekend, this was announced last month. It's a shame Ray won't be joining us, we could really use the points in mini

after burning out a 540 motor with 33-69 gearing ive had to use my 17.5 brushless motor while i try to chase down another silver can, i have it geared at
28-84 and it gives me 5.10 with my transmission ratio of 1.7 tho i also have a 25-75 and it gives me 5.10
what size spur am i ment to be using with that 17.5 motor ?
should i be aiming for a higher spur 108 with a 36 to get the 5.10 ?
what is archived by having a higher spur ?

i think your running an lrp combo from memory

if so you can go to 3.5 3.45 which i was running with temps around the 70c mark

but it is always best to to start a little higher say 3.7/8 and temp cause if the car is not running freely you can do some damage

any tine i change my setting i like to do a 2-3 min run and then check your temps

have fun

5.1 is wayy to low for an LRP combo. your car will be a dog around the track. go to rc hobbies and buy the 48p pinions i told you to get. 29 - 33 48p pinions and use them with your 69t spur. somewhere about the 31 - 33t mark is what you wanna be running.

start with the 3.8 and but you finger on the can after a few mins

if you can hold your finger there for more the a few seconds all should be fine
then if you like go to your 3.55 and do the same

but take it easy there is a big difference in speed from your 540 and 21.5 so hits that where not break bits before will now

if your finding it hard to keep the speed down turn the throttle down on the controller and slowly move back up to 100% This is what i did as Iam in love with my 416

...and if you bring down a 36-24-36, we'll all come and offer some thoughtful insight
