Actually there is pretty good grip at night but big issue is when it get cold and moist, condensation builds up on track surface and make it hard to drive. When it’s really dry day we don’t have any problem getting around. Few years ago at Much more masters practice night I was running less than .5 sec off my day time laps at night. Other night Shane was running his R5 after meeting (like11pm) and was going good.

Yes boral coat is the natural enemy of winter (or rain for that matter). Question is will any 12ths be there on tue given the usual tue weather patterns. I seriously can't be bothered with the old TC at the moment as it requires the whole chassis to be "unconverted" so it has some pace again.

Its got to be worth a go I don't know about this Tuesday.
Maybe we could retrofit F103 rubers on them

Well we made them work at CH so I don't see why they wouldn't work at SMA even at night. I want to find some form or rubber cap that we can use on the 12ths though so I can run it at CH so the same thing should work at SMA.

See you there tomorrow!

+1 for stock touring.

Also taking my 2wd buggy for a run at Ryde on the way
Which reminds me... Does anyone have any small spurs (Around 70t or smaller) for a B4?

You might have to rethink Ryde, with the rain and the new surface it may be too soft to run, I know the guys have put in a lot of work and would like people to not run if it's going to damage the track
cheers

It doesn’t matter much which motor/ESC you use in 540/blinky mode class. I can TQ & win with silver can and it’s 0.5~1 sec slower than 21.5s. It’s all about driving clean and consistency. It’s one of main reason this class is the biggest. Phil holds lap record but others are very close.
