Not looking too bad at the moment, if only it can stay like this for a while.

As long as it doesn't rain overnight we should be good. Didn't rain today but we've had 49mm since Thursday! Will hopefully have the RT5 out meet after this one

Pictures from today...
https://picasaweb.google.com/1127157...eat=directlink

Does anyone know of another image hosting site thats easy to make large albums?
I've just about had enough of Picasa, 40 rejected pictures this time and I know there is nothing wrong with the files.

Great day today too, although quite a tricky track to drive.

Maybe the sand coming up could be a good thing though?
Might make a blue groove last longer and tyres to have a longer life?

I think I may be a Durango convert too, haha, the DEX210 felt great (all things considered) with no real setup on it, just whacked together from the build.
Now I just need to learn to drive the damn thing.

Hey Brendan have you tried photobucket?

I've finally got a V3 inbound! Wish I had time to go out to the track today and find some more steering in the DEX210 on the low grip surface...

I havnt used photobucket myself to upload anything but have used it a couple of times looking at others albums and stuff and the site in general just really slow and laggy.
Might give it a go anyway and see if its changed any since I last saw it.

Might see what the deal is with Flikr aswell, havnt really messed about with that one either.

Gotta find one soon because I either have to start a new account or pay for more space on picasa.

Haha, how long have ya been waiting for the V3?
I was out on the track for a pack earlier, a bit more grip on there now but still pretty loose on the more sandy areas.

I use Losi v2 X2000's and they seem alright, gets a little loose in the thicker sandy bits but can usually keep it under control.
Me mate with a Losi 22 was on the track today aswell and he had calibers on and it felt really touchy in the rear end but had proline ribs up front and had plenty of steering.

Being that the track is sandy, a soft tyre may not function properly on it, neither would a closed in tread.
But I cant see the track staying like this for long, the sand will go away I reckon.

Hey fellas, just putting it up a couple of things I'm trying to sell...

Losi Desert Truck, roller (with servo, no motor or ESC) with stock wheels for $80, good condition, has velcro straps instead of the normal plastic holder, wheelie bar (I could put a normal battery/chassis setup back in it if wanted).
http://tinypic.com/m/eqpkba/3
http://tinypic.com/m/eqpk7b/3
http://tinypic.com/m/eqpk77/3

Futaba T2PHKA, with receiver and xtals, only been used a few times, with original box $20
http://tinypic.com/m/eqpk5f/3

Sanwa MX 3X with receiver, good condition with original box and manual, $130
http://tinypic.com/m/ff4co3/3

Losi XXX CR, pair of front wheels/tyres, no rims (could possibly add a couple of used rear rims though, needs front shocks and springs, a few spares...
Looking around $125?

X Factory X6 Sq, Kyosho shocks, no tyres but a few used rims, a few spares/tuning bits.
$230?

PM me if you want more info/pics on the buggies.

Hi Guys just letting you know there is most likely a stolen new in the box Schumacher Cat SX3 S1 kit floating around Hobart somewhere - just so you know if you get offered one for sale or one turns up at the track.

Cheers

The entry list is growing!

For all the latest on the 2012 Launceston Cup check out the Friday Update.

We'll publish an update each week from now until the event.

Enter, book accommodation if you need it. Get there any way you can!

Oh, and stay tuned for full details....we're adding the first leg of a four-event Interclub Challenge to the event and GOMCC is in with a big chance of winning it!

So who is going up?
Anyone got a spare seat?
Not sure if I am going to go yet just seeing if its possible to grab a ride up and back down (willing to pay my way for fuel costs).

Also, is this the right place? any one staying there? http://www.rutherglentas.com/index.html ? Just the friday night right?

Hey Brendan. Shane and Mick are going up and staying the night. They've also mentioned they have space for fellow racers if needed. Not sure if everyone else are doing a day trip or staying the night.

So far we have entered:
Open Short Course
Ben Hoare (GOMCC)
Jesse Hilder (GOMCC)

2wd Stock Buggy
Shane Winter (GOMCC)
Alex John (GOMCC)

Open 10th Buggy
Shane Winter (GOMCC)
Michael Winter (GOMCC)
Ben Hoare (GOMCC)
Jesse Hilder (GOMCC)
Alex John (GOMCC)

8th Buggy/Truck
Michael Winter (GOMCC)

That's only 5 members so lets get a few more entries in! Don't forget there is also 2WD SCT and Junior classes.
